Good as base of operations for activities in south bay; good as long as you have a car
the hotel was clean but needs some updates in the decor dept.- it is a bit drab and dinghy. Also - the fitness room opens too late for business travelers.
What a great staff! We were traveling with a senior citizen, and the shuttle driver couldn't have been nicer. Thank you!
The bed was visibly sagging and uncomfortable. The walls seemed thin as I could here lots of noise from other rooms.
Nothing fancy, but a great value on a nice clean room with a good free breakfast. My only real gripe was the shower being too short.
I was disappointed with my stay at this hotel. The rooms smelled, beds hard and it's in-line with the San Jose airport.
A large, clean room with moderate price.Very closed to San Jose Airport, San Jose downtown, and also only 30 min. from SFO.I will definitely use this hotel when I visit the Bay Area! '
Doing a LOT of traveling over years, have stayed at a lot of BW's, Stayed at Gateway Inn 3x: worst experiences I had. Poor service, poor maint, pool not working, no one seems to speak english...could not sleep due to cleaning crew chatter 5am on. '
Lots of airplane, traffic, and construction
Good value, clean, nice staff, nice breakfast. No problems other than the shuttle stopped at 11:00 pm and my flight came in at 11:10.
for the price, you couldn't beat this hotel in the South Bay. Free b-fast, Internet, clean room, very friendly staff, very close to freeways to get to downtown, Campbell, Los Gatos
Great free breakfast, close to the airport, free wi-fi, and clean room.
Quick and free shuttle service to/from SJC. Limited food choices, but great service and clean rooms. would stay there again!
I've stayed with this hotel two months ago and did a good job improving breakfast, I like the waffles and scrambled eggs thou. Wireless internet was exellent. They have it in all the rooms now. Good Job!!!
This Best Western was overpriced, not well cleaned (hair left in the tub, dirty carpets, hair in the sink). I wouldn't walk around without shoes on or sleep without my own pillow. But they did fold the kleenex neatly and provide a continental breakfast, and the location is convenient to downtown. So just weigh what is important to you.
Handicap room was awful. An ''afterthought'': for sure. No grabbars, old/rusty bath chair. Non-working fridges in both rooms we were in. Bathrooms by swimming pool out of order.Anyone could use handicap parking spaces without penalty. No internet in h/c room. Outdoor ashtrays were overflowing & left by our h/c room.. Promised partial refund by management was never made good. Very tired hotel with a lot of badly needed maintenance.
Hotel is clean and conveniently located near the airport. Continental breakfast is weak. You're better off buying food and putting it in your in-room refrigerator. There is Wi-Fi available, but not in guest rooms, only in the hotel lobby.
