Another guest was smoking marijuana in the hotel often during my stay, both in the hallway, and in the elevator (before the elevator broke and was not repaired for the rest of my stay). It was impossible not to notice, and nothing was done about it for the duration of the weekend.
Great location, central to the Capitol and downtown Olympia. Comfortable bed, clean room
The complimentary breakfast could have been better.
The breakfast was completely indelible
Comfortable beds. Staff were attentive and friendly. Good location. Close to waterfront. Free continental breakfast. Free parking.
Ice in the lobby only.
clean n nice
Great hotel overall with a nice waterfront view. My wife and I were in town visiting family and this seemed like a nice hotel for the price. Turned out to be right and had a great little weekend get-a-way. Breakfast was the usual light options with eggs and sausage available, dining area was clean and it was nice to have.
As with any hotel in a downtown setting, make sure you lock your car and keep your valuables in the room. We didn't have any issues, but the parking lot is not secure. Don't stay in hotels very often, but it did seem like I could hear people in the hall/other rooms more then at other hotels.
There were weird stains that appeared to be hair dye in the bathroom, none of the ice machines were working, and the tap water had a weird metallic taste to it. The biggest annoyance was that the HDTVs had terrible cable reception and the side HDMI ports don't work -- I was planning on working on a slideshow for my grandma's life for her last Christmas with us, but I wasn't able to. Pretty miffed about the fact that otherwise excellent staff was clueless on the TV situation. Still, the sheets were clean and the bed was comfortable. The room was a good size and laid out well. The water pressure in the shower was pretty poor, but I was on the top floor, so no negative marks there. It could have been better, but wasn't terrible for the money. Not sure if I'd stay there again though with the new Doubletree just down the street.
The beds were very comfortable and the room included a refrigerator and small microwave. Our rooms were well cleaned each day. Most of the staff was friendly and seemed concerned about the problems we brought to them (no ice & cold room). When we checked out we were given a 20% discount due to these problems which made me feel better about it. It needs a lot of remodeling and love to bring it back to a really good hotel.
When we checked in we were told there was parking in the back and below in the garage. However they neglected to tell us the garage elevator was out of service. There were no working ice machines on any of the 8 floors. The first time I went to the desk to ask about this I was given a few frozen lumps of ice from some old fridge. The 3rd & 4th nights we were given ice from the breakfast prep area. We were unable to control the temperature of the room - it always felt cold and we had to run the blower all the time.
Staff at front desk were excellent. Lobby is nice. Room recently remodeled - bathroom wasn't but it wasn't horrible. View from our room was great. Location was awesome! Walkable to all downtown bars and eateries. Saw negative comments about this hotel but honestly, I liked it. Location is great, I felt safe, rooms were nice. Bathrooms are outdated but believe me I have seen much worse in other hotels.

Front desk staff attitude-hotel provisions were as good as a Sheraton but the front desk made us feel like we were staying at a motel 6. No smiles and lack of pride in brand. Lower Level Parking entry door
