Location was fine, staff was very accommodating and allowed us to move rooms at one point, prices on snacks in the lobby was very reasonable. The decor was new and well maintained. Nice free snacks in the lobby.
The pillows and mattress were far below expectations. Nothing else about a hotel really matters if you don't get a good night sleep and I didn't sleep well here. Also very noisy area.I'm not sure what else to say that I didn't say above. Bad pillows and an uncomfortable mattress mean a bad nights sleep. I find this is the same at most Courtyards, so I don't really blame this particular one. Sheets seemed a poor quality, too. Internet was fine. Toiletries were above expectations. You actually got real half and half for the coffee in your room, that was a nice plus, too.
not being up front with the full cost. Charged a priceline tax? next day at checkout.hotel was fine but I will never book through priceline. it not only cost me more but I was not able to collect my points which is why I stay at mariotts.
Staff and location are excellent
our dirty towels remained on floor and unplaced after room service the first day giving impression I couldn't trust cleaning staff with my belongings if they couldn't be trusted to do their job, so I refused room service the rest of my stay.Because I booked room through Priceline, I feel I got what I paid for as opposed to original price. Although The Courtyard is a great establishment, I do not feel it meets the given star rating. The fancy design and look of bedding and a fancy looking desk/tv unit, along with a creative paint job do a great job of hiding the fact that it is an old place, which still has old 70`s carpeting and old rundown tub. I found parking to be very frustrating, as I sometimes was left waiting behind several vehicles blocking entrance while occupants of vehicles were checking in. I cannot comment on the rest of Hotel, since I simply crossed lobby, into elevator and straight to my room. The...
Location, staff helpful,pleasant registration process
the staff were very accommodating in finding an alternative to our parking concerns
the hotel did not have sufficient parking for the size of the hotel. We were requested to park our convertable 6 blocks away. bad our car can be broken into with a pocket knife. There was not indication of parking limitations (or cost) on priceline
it was very clean the room was super nice and so is the staff at the front desk
the fact of paying 20$ for parkingI loved it
Good size room and very clean. Great location and fantastic staff. Parking was $20. which is very reasonable compared to many other downtown Ottawa Hotels. As well, it was unlimited in and out access.
No complaints.Good size room and very clean. Great location and fantastic staff. Close to Byward Market, Rideau Center and many Restaurants. Parking was $20. which is very reasonable compared to many other downtown Ottawa Hotels. As well, it was unlimited in and out access. Would stay there again for sure.
The room itself and amenities were great..!! Although very clean I found washroom quite tight, at least by my standards. I did not make use of any Hotel services, so unable to comment rearding that aspect.
The parking for check-in was very tight, and I felt not at all user friendly. Seems to me half of the original park lot for Hotel has been sold/turned into public parking. I have a very long car by common standards, and was concerned about leaving it thereFor the first time ever I used the Priceline negotiator, naming my own price, and would definitely do so again. I felt got excellent value for my price, and would certainly use that method of approach again. As mentioned above, I was very happy with the actual room area - not overly large, but well arranged and decent quality comfortable furniture/bed..!! I thought the public areas (lobby, elevators, and Parking) were excessively tight. I'm giving a rating of 8/10 from perspective of location, c...
Location in the Byward Market
Our toilet did not flush. They came once but the problem was not fixed. We have stayed here before and it was a great experience. We were not offered anything only sorry....The desk people were wonderful and it is all about location. It is so central in the Byward Market...it is very clean but a toilet that doesn't flush isn't what is expected in a room no matter what it costs a person.
I was very impressed with this hotel - spacious, bright and pleasant rooms, friendly staff.
NoGreat location close to Byward Market with many restaurants and cafes. Spacious rooms, quiet and great staff.
