Location - close to most things.
The rooms and the noise from front desk area. The Days Inn is very close to Chinatown and the Old Town is within walking distance. The rooms themselves are quite okay if a bit dated. Few TV channels, though. We first got room 109 at the end of the hall from the front desk - Priceline rooms are often not a high priority with hotel staff. The room had a window facing a wall, which in itself is okay, but we noticed massive noise and resonance from something that must be either a central heating system or a generator. Sit down on the bed or the chair by the bed and feel the quite extreme vibration. The helpful guy at the front desk got us into room 105 instead. The window faces the inside of the building, so no natural light. There's good reason to avoid this room too, and the surrounding ones on the bottom floor, since the noise from the reception area goes right through the door. When people check in late, come back a...
There was one woman working there that was nice.
We were in a completely noisy room. They would not switch us initially. After complaining for a 3rd time, they moved us. We moved to a smaller room, hair on the pillow, light did not work, and there was construction all night. Did not get any sleep. This was the worst hotel I've ever stayed at.
Location and rates.
NoGreat will stay here next year for 2014 philly Marathon.everything is close by.marathon expo, bus depot and marathon start.
Complimentary breakfast is excellent. The food serving& cleaning staff lady is very professional and courteous. A good number of restaurants are available in the locality.
The reception staff is not at all trained of the business of the hotel. They need to be responsible to what they say to the customers .Unnecessarily I had to stay and pay for two days as I was mislead,5 times!, regarding the partial cancellation policiesIf the management staff changes the aptitude ,I think there is a hope for the customers. We had never any bitter experiences prior when we stayed in different hotels in USA other than this hotel as un unnecessarily I had to stay and pay for two days as I was mislead,(5 times! over the phone by the reception staff), regarding the partial cancellation policies .The room cleaning staff use the bare hands to clean all the trash and after that give the new towels and all with the same.
very helpful staff
no parking. were doing construction inside
the location was really great and it was clean
the bed was extremely uncomfortable - very hard, very thin comforter. we had to ask for an extra blanket as the heat made the air very dry. I was also put off that there was no parking available or special discounts at the parking lot they referred us to.The hotel was good, what you would expect for a Days Inn. The room was sizable and clean. The bed was uncomfortable and the comforter thin. The parking lot the front desk referred us to didn't get us any discounts for staying at the Days Inn and was fairly expensive for 24 hours ($32).
close to center city and breakfast
noise of flushingthe front dest switched room for us to avoid flushing noise, we appreciate
Cheap for the location. Minimal disruption at all.
The room had no windows to the outside, so it felt like a cave. Also, the breakfast was pretty weak in the offerings, but free nonetheless, so not too much of a complaint. This place is cheap for the location and not all that bad of a place. The room had no windows to the outside, so it felt like a cave and was hard to wake up and know what time it was. Also, the breakfast was pretty weak in the offerings, but free nonetheless, so not too much of a complaint.
Friendly staff. Quiet space in the middle of downtown Philly.
The hotel was under renovations at the time. There was no way to know this by the ad.
the proximity to the convention center was nice. The neighborhood it was in (surrounding buildings, people on the street, etc.) was very sketchy.
