Extremely polite and hospitable hotel staff.
No restaurants within walking distance.
The carpet and armchair in the room were filthy. But worst of all, my door would not lock and the response was appalling. I would not stay here again.
Staff was very helpful with recommendations for dining, as well as directions. They were solicitous of our comfort.
newer more modern hotel on LI.....right on LIE at Round Swamp Road (exit 48)
limited outside access
The rooms were huge and very nice.
The front desk staff was not friendly. It seemed like you were annoying them when you needed something.
Noisy AC, uncomfortable sheets.
Clean with nice rooms
Food is ridiculously expensive. $15 for a lousy turkey club???? $10 for childs chicken fingers!!!! We had a sandwich and chicken tenders and 2 WEAK rum and cokes....... $50.with tip. Also the directions are lousy.....I grew up 10 minutes away.
I forgot my clothing in the closet, and the staff was extremely helpful in recovering the items and returning them to me.
Breakfast was overpriced.
Did not know I would be required to leave a $200.00 Deposit when checking in
Hotel is under construction. Why offer rooms in the middle of construction? Rooms old and stuffy, not to mention expensive. Floor creeks like a haunted house. I can hear the guest in the room on top of mine pacing back and forth until 2 AM.
food was very good for a hotel bar
It was clean and spacious.
It was not well advertised that the pool was an outside pool only open during certain times of the year. The pool was a big reason we chose this hotel. My children were disappointed that there was no pool they could use. I feel I was misled.
Very nice. Clean, friendly & affordable.
Front desk staff were friendly and helpful. The room was fine - absolutely no issues. Would return if I travel back to Long Island.
When I noticed that this hotel was priced 25% lower than similar Nassau County options, I was a little nervous to book. However, my experience there was fantastic! The hotel in newly renovated, lobby, room, etc, the staff is terrific, the decor/room-furnishings nice, spacious and excellent bed. Bottom line - GREAT! And a steal to boot!
If you're looking for a nice place for a quick getaway, this is definitely a good spot. The place is clean, the staff is friendly and you get the most 'bang for your buck' here. This was the least expensive place I could find for a one-night stay that had the best rating and I know why now. The bed was big and comfy. There was an actual fridge and not a cooler like other hotels have. And there was a microwave too which the 5-star hotel I stayed in for a week in Miami didn't even have. The biggest downside, if you wanna call it that, was that the remote control didn't work too well. But all in all...it was pretty good.
Desk personnel was very helpful as I had forgotten to ask for one room with handicapped facilities - they accomodated our request at time of check in and found a room near the elevator and with a large wonderful handicapped bathroom with a huge walk-in shower. We ate dinner at the hotel the night of our arrival - everything was delicious - tuna tartere (sp?) salmon, salad etc. Breakfast was choice of buffett or ala carte. Rooms were clean and comfortable - no complaints. When we needed directions to various places they not only printed out directions to the place we were going, but also printed directions back to the hotel so we wouldn't get lost on our return. Would stay there again in a heartbeat. My only complaint that as we were coming from the north the hotel was difficult to locate as we got off the exit - rather hidden behind another building with singage not too easily seen - other than that - it was more than adequate and quite nice.
The front desk staff was very helpful. The bed was super comfortable, much better than most. We would definitely stay there again.
X was extremely helpful to us in that we recieved call at the hotel at 4am saying that my grandmother having CPR performed on her. My husband and I raced out to our car only to find out that it wouldn't start, X who was working at the front desk, drove her car over to ours and helped us get it started then printed us mapquest directions to show us how to get to the Brookhaven hospital. After she found out that my grandmother passed away, she made arrangements for us to have a late check to allow us to sleep before we took the long ride back to Baltimore.
This was the first time I had stayed at this hotel. It was very clean, quiet, and comfortable. The front desk was very kind and helpful. The wireless in the rooms was spotty, but the hotel was computers to use near the lobby.
I loved the room. It had good internetconncetion and great tv games and movies. the bed was very comfortable. The whole room in general was very nice and clean. The service at the hotel was very good. The bathroom was nice...I think it is best for business men or a quick getaway. i would'nt go there for my honeymoon.
