Attention to detail and personalized service is what this place is all about. This comes at a price of course but I felt that the expense was worth it. Excellent beach facilities, beautiful gardens and secret hideaways. Snorkeling trip is included in price of room. Although a service charge (15%) is added to all services, in the end I felt okay about that because the service was excellent and it meant that I didn't have to worry about carrying pesos around to tip everyone who helped us (although I'm sure other guests may add gratuities on top of that).
I would caution those who get an ocean view room to ask for specifics about the room location. Even tho the hotel is quiet, there are ocean view rooms that overlook the restaurant, bar and pathway to the beach and don't offer as much privacy as other rooms.
