The main floor has the public area with an information desk, some stores and restaurants, check-ins, arrivals, baggage claim, and the escalators, stairs, and elevator leading to the second floor with waiting areas, security checkpoints, stores, and restaurants. Aeropuerto Internacional de Puerto Vallarta serves Aeromexico, American Airlines, Aviacsa, Azteca, Aero California, Alaska Airlines, ATA, America West Express, Continental Airlines, MagniCharters, and Mexicana. The airlines depart from one of the airport's six gates. Car rental desks are on the ground floor between the entrance doors.
