There are restaurants right on the beach.
The cost to leave the property and go outside the resort without a car was expensive. You pay $8 for drinks in the casino. Internet was $8 per hour. There are too many chairs reserved by the pool that stay empty most of the day. This property is not a hotel, it is a resort. It is a combination of four different brands under one umbrella. We were at Punta Cana. There is Bavaro, which was most similar to ours. They also had an adults only, called Ambar and a families section called Esmeralda. There are activities for kids and adults that include a mini water park, bicycles and tennis. These are available to anyone staying at any of the different locations on the property. The buffet was similar for breakfast and lunch. Each night for dinner there was a different theme. For example, it was American night on the evening of the Super Bowl. We had two al la carte dinners included in our package, ...
food was great and pools/beach
deserts at the buffet could have been betterThis place is huge, but there is a lot to do and plenty of pools and beach to hold you. Never have to go far for a drink of any kind. great food. No complaints
1. Check in took 2+ hours (without an ability to stow bags and sit on beach) 2. The drinks were horrible (Often out of ice, salt, lime, etc) 3. There was jackhammering all day 4. HORRIBLE service everywhere4. Room was dirty (needed to wear shoes). 5. Room had spiders (left with 5+ spider bites) 6. The WORST PART -- Priceline has not submit a refund for such a horrible experience. As a loyal Priceline customer, I am shocked with the low quality, poor service, and Priceline's inability to stand behind the product they sell. Their overall apathy for their customers' satisfaction is appalling and unfortunately, I don't feel I have any alternative but to take my business elsewhere.
The staff was VERY friendly and the drinks were awesome!!!
The food was very bland and not what I expected for a 5 star hotel. Also, I got very sick from drinking the coffee in the hotel room. I think the cream may have been outdated. The restaurants were better than the Buffet but still not super. Great!
The facilities are awesome, excelent service, drinks and food are great. Sttaff is also very good.
They said, Hotel inclides internet which is true only if you pay additional $50. Wi-ffi is only free only one hour at the lobby. Casino is very smallThe beach is very very nice, I really recommend this experience for couples, but no longer than five or six days.
The food, beach and room.
It is very large. There is not a dancing place.Initially, we were booked at the Punta Cana, but due to a delayed in our flight we lost our room. We were welcomed by Nairobi Santos, and she was very helpful updating our reservation to the Esmeralda. At the Esmeralda, the staff, Martina, was friendly and courteous. Each day when returning to our room, we had a pleasurable experience because Natividad kept our room clean and beautifully decorated with flowers and balloons. We tasted the food from the Jazmin, the Geranios, the Snack Arrecifes, and the Bella Italia. We enjoyed delicious foods and drinks. Our dinner at the Bella Italia was especially memorable. The food was outstanding and our server, Benjamin was attentive and committed to make us have a great time. Finally, we enjoyed a barbeque dinner served by Maria. The atmosphere was fun: Bachata, Merengue, Mama Juana, marine breeze and great meat. In general, t...
The staff was very friendly & helpful! There are a lot of activities going on at the hotel that you can partake in. The buffet was decent, having a lot of variation. There are many pools at this location & a there is also a buffet set up by the beach.
The bed was a really hard and uncomfortable bed. I had never before slept on such a poor quality mattress at a four star hotel. Felt almost as if you were laying on cardboard, very uncomfortable! The property is very large, it has a lot of pools and a beach front with a open buffet which is nice. They have a casino where you can get your game on if you'd like. The hotel staff is friendly and attentive. The best hotel rooms are at the Esmeralda which is part of this enormous resort but considered five stars where Principe is four stars. The resort is divided into four or five different hotel section inside from grade 5-3 stars, Esmeralda is 5, Principe is 4 and everything else follows. Good for a quick...
the beauty of its architecture, and its food.
i cannot find something wrong with it.
I like the fact that it has alot of pools, you do not feel crowded. And the beach was big and clean.
What I did not like was, when we arrived no one explained to us how to get around and what was going on like shows, parties ect. And I was a little upset that they did not reconize my girlfriend bithday, after I called ahead of time before I came down.Over all the Resort was beautiful, I wish I could of stayed longer to explore more of what the resort offered. The rooms/Resort where clean. The food at the specialty restaurant where up to par. I would definitely recommend the Gran Bahia Princple Resort for a place to come take a trip with the family or a love one, I hope to be back soon. K. Hodges
