Haven't stayed at a Holiday Inn in a while and was very impressed! Very clean, friendly staff, and a good breakfast. Would definitely stay here again!
Cons:Our checking in was confusing in that our rooms were scheduled for two beds and initially we were given a king sized with a pullout sofa. A staff member was finally able to resolve the problem and he was most helpful. We were scheduled for two nights but our room was not cleaned and the coffee not replenished for our second night. On the positive side the rooms were very nice, the beds comfortable and on our first night the bathrooms were very clean. I would book the holiday inn again
Pros:Room was very modern, nicely appointed and had a ton of USB outlets for charging devices. Bed and pillows were extremely comfortable.
Cons:No hot tub even though one was advertised on the IHG website. Tried to update to a hot tub suite as noted on the OHG website...no such thing. Staff members were at best COLD and UNCARING. I was checked in by a staff member who was on the phone and could not bring himself to even talk to me. Was not thanked or asked how my stay was when I checked out. Just handed my receipt with a "there you are" and she was back on her phone. Breakfast bar was a JOKE. While there was plenty of area and heaters, when we got to the bar there was 1 dry piece of bacon, four sausages that looked and felt like cardboard, one dry biscuit, and two tablespoons of crusted over gravy. They were out to two different types of juice (just hadn't been changed yet) and there was no one in the breakfast area to tell. When she finally showed up her only statement was, "Well, I just filled it." She was coming from the employee area where they were all gathered talking to each other. The price I paid was twice what local hotels are charging, I stayed there because I typically stay in IHG hotels. Next time we'll be staying at the Best Western...same breakfast and amenities, but 1/2 the price. I'll also be providing this review to IHG as I believe this facility falls significantly below what I have come to expect even from their budget HI Express franchises. It was comfortable in the room, horrible once we got outside our rooms.
