Friendly staff and comfy bed. The parking was a bit confusing, but staff got us straight.
This property is right in the heart of Rock Island, IL - which these days, isn't saying much. Rock Island is suffering mightily with the current economy and job market. Much of the downtown area is vacant buildings and store fronts. The parking lot for this hotel will handle about 10% of the total number guests cars, if the hotel is full - a public parking garage across the street handles all the overflow. If you have to stay in Rock Island, this hotel is serviceable, but nothing to write home about. The highlight of my stay there was a lunch at a small 'hole-in-the-wall' Mexican restaurant, a block away - food was excellent.
Real nice room and bed. Very comfortable. Great location too. Just a short couple block walk to the river as well as 'The District' which is a nice strip of pubs.
Hotel is located right downtown Rock Island, close to bridges and Rt 92. The rooms are a bit small, but nicely appointed. Bathrooms are quite nice, with Bath and Body Works amenities, coffe maker, frig and micro. Bennigans onsite has great food and the morning breakfast roomservice was quick and good. Great price and perfect location!
The hotel is convenient to restaurants in downtown Rock Island. The rooms are small but this hotel is quite old. The renovations are nice.
WE CHOSE THIS HOTEL BECAUSE IT WAS CLOSE TO A LOT OF PLACES TO WALK TO OR JUST A SHORT DRIVE..
We had a good stay. Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was good. Price decent. Swimming pool was very nice.
Brand new hotel and casino. Forget about trying to get anything besides a basic room, they won't give you any other room in the hotel unless you're some big player type. For the price of the rooms, and the fact this is a brand new hotel I would expect much better. They have a steakhouse (overpriced for the quality of food), a buffet (food was cold) a deli (not bad), and some cafe (ok food and prices). When I stayed they were having problems with heating within the casino (had to wear a heavy coat INSIDE!). Has a club inside the casino with what I'm told are amateur acts from around the Quad Cities area. Do yourself a favor and go across the river to the Bettendorf casino.
The shower curtain had 5 holes and a stain on it. The one it was replaced with had a hole and a stain. The bathroom mirror was smudged. The room had an accumulation of dust. And there were spit stains on the underside of the faucet. The air unit would not blow cool air when placed on the lowest setting. It was 8 degrees F outside and I had the window open. \n \nServices Provided: \nIn the reference book provided for the room it list a humidifier as a guest requested item. After asking the front desk for one, the attendant gave a quizzical look and said they don't provide that. The air was so dry in the room it made for an uncomfortable stay. \n \nService Quality: \nHotel staff was unprofessional. When ordering room service they were unable to provide a total or wait time for the food. It took 3 phone calls to get the order charged correctly and to be given a grossly inaccurate delivery time of 45 minutes for the meal. When the girl delivered the food, I was expected to take the food off her cart and into the room while battling the spring-loaded door. \n \nHousekeeping did a poor performance of cleaning the room. The toilet was never cleaned during my 3-night stay. And neither was the faucet. All housekeeping issues were reported to the front desk and were never properly taken care of. \n
My family and I decided to stay at a hotel just to enjoy some time away and swim. We will never again choose this hotel. The room was dirty, the a/c heater unit was loud, the tv wouldnt work and when maintenance was called to try to fix it we were told 'sorry' he just didnt know how to fix it. I could here everyone out in the hall and in the next room.\n\nTerrible - one word.
The Hotel is fine; Rooms are small, but well appointed, very comfortable beds; friendly staff. Skip the restaurant Bennigans, poor service, bad food - eat somewhere else!
