Breakfast was nice.
The air conditioning did not work. We paid good money for a sweaty night of almost no sleep. Also, peeling wallpaper and mold and we had to wait several hours to check in while they fixed the air conditioning in our room and then ultimately checked us into a different room where, SURPRISE, the ac didn't work either. We asked different clerks/employees to remedy the situation, even at midnight, offering to move to another hotel if they would help us find a room at such a late hour and they did NOTHING. It seems at the Hotel Gallia shrugging is the answer to customer complaints. I took 4 cold baths in 10 hours and barely slept. I certainly deserve a refund for my torture stay at this ragged hotel.
Nice room good location, staff could be a bit happier learn to smile
It was a lovely hotel and our room was very spacious, location was good for sightseeing. Staff were all very helpful.
The rooms were fantastic. They have very high ceilings and very "Rome". It is in a fantastic position and the staff did everything they could to make our stay enjoyable. We contacted the hotel prior to our stay as we were celebrating a family birthday. The hotel pulled out all the stops and gave us all rooms on the third floor. Ours even had a balcony. There us noise but you are in the middle of Rome!! What do you expect??I have to say though that the double glazing coped admmirably. The hotel does push itself as a four star however I have been fortunate to travel the world and would say ut was a three- three/half at most but do not let this put you off. What ut lacks in a lick of paint more than makes up for in position and the great staff
Nothing, we loved the hotel.
The location of the hotel was fabulous. A stones throw from Termini station and within walkable distance to all the sites. The guys on the front desk were really helpful, especially the older man who was always ready to help out with any queries we had! Would definitely recommend this hotel to friends and family travelling to Rome!! Breakfast was also very good!
There was a couple of small things like damp on the ceiling, no plug in the bath and you had to hold the shower head but they were minor and did not make our stay any less enjoyable!
The staff were very helpfull in giving directions and booking tours. For a first time visitor that is important.
We were in room 308. The room was great except for one thing...it smelled like mold.We kept our windows open all day to get rid of the strong smell.
malfunctioning AC, small TV, poor choice of TV channels
proximity to centre of city
broken air con, broken safe, faulty shower
The staff was very friendly and the location was excellent
this is not exactly what i would qualify as a 4 star hotel even though the they charge you like one , the breakfast was poor
The position was good, close to the main station and to Collosseum. The bathroom was really big.
The elevator was broken for a day
