The Hotel Canyelles Platja enjoys a privileged location, where nature and culture thrive and often come together. Guests can enjoy the white sand beach that is just steps away. Within 19 miles (30 kilometers) of the hotel, you will be able to enjoy 4 natural parks and reserves (Aigüamolls, Albera, Cap de Creus, and Illes Medes); see and feel the ancient history of Roses and Empúries and medieval history of Castelló d´Empúries, Perelada, or Besalú with its castles and walls; or visit a marvelous architectural achievement of the Romànic, a current of architecture which some argue was born in l´Empordà: the monastery of Sant Pere de Rodes. Obviously, it would be unforgettable to leave without having visited the magic Figueres-Púbol-Port Lligat triangle created by one of the most fascinating geniuses of the 20th century, Salvador Dalí. And all together accompanied with delicious and typical local meals, adventure sports (hiking, windsurfing, scuba-diving, and parachuting), and a warm climate that will make every journey unforgettable. Guests can enjoy meals at one of the hotel's 2 restaurants or relax with a drink at one of the hotel's bars, which include a beach bar, a poolside bar, and a lounge bar. Wireless Internet access is complimentary in public areas and the hotel has an Internet point. Other amenities offered are an outdoor pool, a library, garage parking, central heating, and a supermarket on site. This hotel is pet-friendly (restrictions apply).
easy acces to the beach, superb service by all hotel staff
The swimming poolwater was so filthy, it caused earinfection in two of our family. This is a well known problem by all medical staff in hotels that dont replace the water often enough.
Next to sea.
Our room (211) sea view was blocked by trees, hotel was full so no change possibility... parking was a mess, hotel had very limited parking (even they advertise parking) and they did not know which day I could get the parking slot (probably loudest in the morning gets the parking lots), luckily behind the next corner was private parking (4e/day) which had space and which we were able to use... at the end we learnt which time to arrive to get free parking from the street (9pm).
I loved the location, friendly service qnd view of the Sea.
he view of the water and that we had a balcony opening to hear and see the sounds
The staff at the service desk was less than hospitable.
