You get what you paid for. The hotel needs a face lift. The room and bathroom are in terrible shape. It be would be nice to know that toiletries are not available ahead of time so guests can take theirs along.
Every thin was perfect, good drinks, clean beaches, quiet and a good service
my Jamaican girlfriend and I had a great stay - will come back soon - staff and food were always good - could have a better selection of 'top shelf' alcohol.. We enjoyed our quiet time together -
The staff was extremely friendly and helped and answered every question I had. I would recommend this resort to anyone going to Jamaica.
If your looking for a 5 star resort this is not the place. If your looking for a small resort where you can meet all the guest's meet all the staff, this is the place. The service and staff are 5 Star rated. We have been back4 times and will continue to do so. It is our Jamaica home. The food was great , the drinks even better. Not to far away from attractions.
It was a nice little place, but not the hotel I had in mind.
I traveled alone to Jamaica so Im a bold girl to begin with. I didn't have lots of money to spend on a weekend holiday away. However, I don't feel like I compromised myself at all. The place is clean the staff is friendly and the beach isn't big but it was all that I needed and more. I spent some time on the nude beach and on the regular beach and I wasn't crowded by tons of people. The food wasn't gormet but I never went hungry either. Oh and the nightclub was so much fun! Over all I am very pleased about staying here and hopefully I will get a good rate to stay again.
As mention I had to stay at another property which was not as good. In fact it was lousy. They did offer a couple of perks I accepted. The next day I moved into the right property which was nicer. Other than no elevator it was nice. Had a nude beach but I didn't check it out. Food was good. Used public transportation to save cost and out is safe.
We stayed 6 night and the service was wonderful. Staff was always there to serve. Nightly entertainment was good, drinks were great and the pool. Small resort but very personal. Would stay again.
Club Ambiance was an 'okay' way to spend our week in Jamaica, but lacked a number of feautes that I saw at other resorts. It is a very quiet, small hotel with a friendly staff and due to the size, it enables you to get to know all the other patrons during our stay. The rooms were adaquate, pretty clean, and everything was in working order, but it was overall, just 'okay'. The food was fair to good depending on the meal, but breakfast was excellent. The facitlities were definitely dated, but overall well kept. Staff was very polite and attentive. The 'beach area' was a big diappointment, with no real, 'beach'...just a small rocked in cove where ocean water pools. Very cost effective, but next time we'll upgrade to a larger resort with more amenities.
I love this place. If you like the big resorts, you won't love this one. It's small, beautiful, on the ocean - I just adore it. We have been here twice and haven't been disappointed yet. We get one of the deluxe rooms facing the ocean and they have been wonderful. The rooms are clean and large. The staff is friendly and helpful. We go all-inclusive and the food is great with a large variety. There is entertainment every night, and organized games, etc., if you want to do that during the day. I love the pool - large with an actual deep end. I'd go here every year, but my husband likes variety. Make no mistake, though, we will go back again.
My stay was good, if you require rest and relaxation this is the place to be. I attended the Jamaica Jazz and blues Festival and this hotel is in close proximity, so it was very convenient for me to have a good dinner, relax by the sea and get some rest.
When we arrived to the hotel we were greeted by friendly staff and they made us feel right at home. We were shown ot our room and the gentleman gave us some useful information since it was the middle of the day and we missed lunch, but he informed us that we could grab a bite at the afternoon hamburger bar. Dinners were the best meal of the day - we had alot of different meals that were native to the traditions of the island. The beaches and bars were very nice and many to choose from. As I explained to all my friends it was a nice resort where you are able to relax all day and not feel the pressure to have to be doing something at all times. I felt recharged when I returned home.
My husband and I stayed at Club Ambiance for a vacation, and we were definitely pleased with our decision to stay here. The food was fantastic, and most of the staff knew us by name by the end of the week. I will say, if you are looking for a sterile-clean, very commercialized place to stay, this is NOT the place for you. The sand is a little rough, and the rooms are the equivalent to probably a 3 star hotel; but if you don't mind, it's well worth the trip. It was also really nice not having screaming kids running around.
While the staff is very friendly, the hotel itself needs a lot of upgrades. The furniture in my room was all mismatched and old, the dresser drawers did not open. There were ants all over the bathroom. I tried to sleep in my room, but music blasted from the neighbors played very, very loudly until after 2am. Then another night, dogs barked the whole night, so if you like some sleeping on your vacation, you might want to look for another place. The included food was really horrible! The only good items were the burgers at the Terrace grill.
We visited Club Ambiance for 4 days to celebrate our wedding anniversary 2010. We chose this hotel because it is adult only and because it seemed to get good reviews from past guests. Unfortunately, my impression wasn't such a good one. There are a few good things about the hotel such as the views (if you get a room that face the ocean), the hot tub, the hammocks and majority of the staff were very polite. However, a few words to describe the hotel are 'dirty', 'nasty' & 'yuck'. For starters the hotel is in desperate need of a total overhaul because it seems as though it has never been renovated, ever! The roof of the room next to the main dining room is leaking! There are literally towels on the floor to catch the water. Our hotel room seemed a bit dirty and I refused to walk on the carpet without sandals on. The shower in the bathroom had a leak and there were some 'shabby' fixes done obviously by maintenance staff or cheap labor and it showed. I was so glad that I packed towels because I refused to use the dingy, nasty ones the hotel provided. Also, there were only a few guests our age- early 30s, all others were at least over 65. Also, for a Jamaican hotel there were not many Jamaican dishes as I would have hoped for. I will definitely visit Jamaica again, but will not stay at Club Ambiance.
My husband and I stayed at Club Ambiance for Valentine's Day weekend 2010. The positives: -The views were amazing. -There is a nice relaxing hammock area. -The hot tub is great.! -The staff is super friendly and polite. The negatives were that -The hotel could use a little renovating- ok, a lot of renovating. -The crowd was 15% aged 20s & 30s and 85% 65+ adults (we are in our early 30s). -There are not any activities to do if it get chilly outside or its raining.
The front desk, after 3am no service. No one will answer the phone. Don't even think about trying to get a wake up call from the front desk. Room service was terrible, no wash cloths with towel sets. If you need room service your better off trying to take care of the situation yourself. The dining was just bad. The late nite snakes. Bad pizza, nothing special here. People are looking for good deals. Some would say you get what you pay. Club Ambiance should come with that warning.
