Our hotel is 2 miles southeast of Lincoln Parish Museum and four miles west of Lincoln Parish Park. Dining options include: Shoney's, Ryan's, Wendy's or Rabb's Steakhouse, all within one mile of our hotel. The Hampton Inn Ruston hotel amenities include complimentary continental breakfast, safe deposit boxes and 25 inch TV with cable. Our hotel also offers connecting rooms, exercise gym, hair dryers, irons and outdoor pool. Pros (+) The young man checking us in that morning was very friendly and helpful. Worked quickly to resolve problem with first room. The young woman that checked us out the next morning was very gracious as well.
Cons (-) This Hampron Inn was billed as as a non-smoking hotel. When we walked into the initial room assigned to us, it was cool but clearly previously occupied by a smoker. Am not particularly bothered by smoke but this was stale and very off putting. The front desk was most apologetic and moved us to a different room.
