The staff was very professional , courteous and helpful.
The friendliness of the staff
I was told when I went to check in that there were no rooms available until later in the afternoon because check-in is after 4 PM. But then I saw two other people being given rooms and I asked why they were given a room and it wasn't. I asked is it because of the different fare that we paid and the girl said yes. Then she took back and said oh no we just didn't have any rooms when you asked which was two minutes before. Then they gave me a room. A/c way loud.
A fairly clean bed.
Do not be fooled by the expensive price you are going to pay for this place. You get nothing in return. No beach worth visiting unless you enjoy counting the dead fish on it while holding your nose. It's to wonder how they can charge these rates for something like this!
The smell from the marina
Price was good. The staff were nice and helpful. There was an issue with a drunk guy walking around the pool at night but the security guy was very kind and helpful and showed him off the property.
The "beach" was man made. it smelled terrible wouldnt even think about swimming in the water.
What a wonderful 2 week stay. My mother, aunt, and I decided to take an all-girls vacation. So glad we decided to go with the Magnuson Marina Cove. Super friendly and accommodating staff, the room was clean and pretty, the 2 pools, beach front, shuffleboard and tennis courts, bar, snack bar, and restaurant were a very short distance from our room. The food at the restaurant was excellent! We dined there several times. The grounds were very clean and pretty. I will certainly be staying at this hotel again.
Mixup on our reservation
great location , staff was nice,
very bad tidal small, dank and musty rooms, needs a major upgrade.
The staff were very good. The restaurant was ok. The pools were very nice and clean. The bar was good.
The inlet was nasty and smelled. There is no place to swim on the beach.
The price was good through Kayak. Liked most of the staff. Servers/host was very nice and helpful. Excellent service in restaurant! I like the quiet solitude. Room maid was very good and honest. And I repeat "Honest" Would come again because of her. "Denene" I think. Forgive me if I got her name wrong.
Was a little old and in need of serious updating. The bar tender was inconsiderate of noise in restaurant moving her cart through walkway for the tiki hut while on computer. No private area for business conversation.
Front desk was nice
Rooms needed an upgrade
The hotel was only about 5 minutes from everything.
Thwy didnt let us in to our room until an hour after the time they said the room would be ready. Also we found multiple lizards crawling around our room.
the staff was friendly
The man made beach the smell of dead fish I've come so bad you can't eat outside or by the pool.. One night the smell was so bad it come in to the room ... That was bad
All I had to offer
The beds could have been more comfortable but they weren't horrible
The smell from the decaying seaweed at the waters edge, made the back side of the patio, yard, and beach front unusable. My kids would not go back there and certainly wouldn't get in the water there. That needs to be cleaned up. This was actually one of the features to choosing this location, and we were unable to use it.
Grounds were nice. Pools were nice. Room wasn't fancy but it was clean. Food was good. Front desk people were really helpful. It was fun watching the fish jump & the dolphins swim at the little beach.
the service at check in and out went fast and friendly, room service was great, pools was beautiful, great food in dining room looking over marina, tiki bar was awesome looking over private beach, landscape was beautiful, staff was friendly and always smiling, they made me and my family feel so welcome, loved our stay at magnuson marina cove...
there was nothing i didn't like.
Location was perfect for acess to St Petersberg Bch, Fort De Soto, and Tropicana Field.
Rooms are outdated. And little beach area had a lot of seaweed.
We like the location near Clearwater Beach. Their grounds look much better in the pictures but the pool and playground were perfect for my toddle to have fun. Overall the grounds are ok. Room was nicely clean.
I was disappointed were the rooms the need to be updated a little bit. Also the private beach smells.
This was a pleasant surprise. The patio door is right on the water. Amazing sunsets and sunrises. Really nice pool. The rooms are showing their age as you can see worn paint and worn metal. Also the bed was a little lumpy. But....for the money you can't beat this place. Great views and great location.
Quiet and tranquil man-made beach. Nice landscaping, beautiful view of the bay. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Very informative about the area. Fantastic stay, would definitely recommend. Thanks for an awesome weekend!
The private beach was beautiful as well as the view! The bar was amazing had a great time!
The room was not kept very clean. We did find blood stains on the sheets and the air conditioner did not work well. The mirrors in the room were not wiped clean well.
Rooms clean. Pools were nice with bar. Beach front was nice
Pools were nice, jacuzzi and play area. Didn't have a view from room except of a tree, which at least made it feel private.
There is no beach. There is sand, but it just wasn't nice. Should have stayed closer to parks because it just doesn't give that beach feeling
Top roof of restaurant view not maintained cluttered with leaf debris
In spite of appearing built in the 60s, room smelled clean. It was not musky or mildly. The outside facilities seemed ok
The bathroom had hairs in the tub and was not clean. Same for the bedroom area. If it were not midnight when I checked , I would have request another room. The bed was lumpy and seemly old and squeaky. Room with a view for us meant room next to a old dock not beach. Save your money do not stay here.
The pool was nice. The staff was friendly overall.
The beds we full size and slept HORRIBLE! The pillows were the foam pieces kind and were horrible! When we asked to be upgraded to a king bedded room, we were told we booked through a third party and were treated as such.
The flooring in my room was filthy. I was on a budget and they put a hold on 150.00 of my money that was needed elsewere
The description online said the hotel was "on the beach," but what they failed to mention the "beach" was 100 yards of man made beach that was covered in rotting seaweed. The room was decent, but there was left over shampoo in the shower and the air conditioning unit was shoved up high in a corner so the whole room did not cool down. Over all we were quite disappointed with our stay.
