First experience is with the receptionist who was very rude insisting I had not paid for both nights. I actually did not stay there, but had a friend from Germany, and this was handled in such a way that is caused much embarrasement for me and my guest. Will not choose Thon hotel in the future when my friend comes next month.
Very comfortable bed. Spacious room. Friendly helpful staff
Poor (temporary) breakfast facilities
The foyer is amazing, very attractive, and the facilities generally are very nice. We found the staff helpful and pleasant. The food in the restaurant was excellent, especially the breakfast in the morning. There is a lovely walk from the hotel down around the bay and up into the town. The hotel is also incredibly close to what we were told was, the largest shopping mall in Scandinavia.
It was about 10klm from the centre of Oslo and about 80 from Oslo Torp airport. Transport from the airport to the hotel and vice versa was very expensive. There are only 2 computers that are available for access which meant it was often difficult to find one to use, and when you were on you were frequently harrassed by other people.
there is an amazing island nearby
it's in between several noisy motorways.
