felt like i was treated like a less valued customer; room seemed a little basic for a hyatt/3.5 star hotel
Sheets were dirty and ripped. Hotel did give us breakfast. They didn't tell us we needed room key in elevator to access the floor our room was on. We thought we were stuck in elevator. Walked up.Important to know if there is parking at hotel that does not require a valet for an additional $24 per day.
Beautiful hotel on the river. Best views you can have in Savannah!
Parking was a little pricey but, not a big deal
The hotel has great access to River Street and we loved being able to take an elevator from River Street into the hotel lobby area.
We thought the $24 valet parking fee was high as was the cost for breakfast in the hotel restaurant (no free breakfast). Also no free Wi-Fi, they charge $10 per day if you want Wi-Fi.The location of this hotel is outstanding. The staff is very friendly. There are signs that this hotel can use some updates ie: wallpaper patches and peeling but other than that it was an outstanding buy and convenient.
$26.00 per night parking fee, 5.00 for a bottle of water in the room, and expensive breakfast bar fees. The hotel staff said a city parking garage on Whittaker Street was available for $16.00 per night. We were told we would not have the option to come and go as we pleased from this garage without paying more. We opted for the city garage wich was about one block away. We asked the attentent if we could purchase some type of permit for parking. There was a permit available at the visitor center on MLK Blvd. It was about $6.00 per day, good at several garages, and allowed us to come and go from the parking garage as we pleased without paying extra. The permit also allowed us to park in any city street parking with a posted time limit over one hour. The permit allowed for parking longer than the max posted limit. Well worth it!
Charge for internet. In 2014 for a FREE INTERNET. Limited breakfast menu options for $18 Trying to bump us to a queen sofa bed in a hospitality suiteLook for a better value in 3 star hotels in that area.
The valet attendant (David) was awesome. My boyfriend has a phobia about valet parking . David reassured him of the safety and reliabilty. He was really impressed with David and stated he was a very nice young man. Everytime we saw him he had a smile.
The young lady who checked us in was not personable. She was very dry. I can't remember her saying thank you or enjoy your stay. I got the impression I was disturbing her quiet time. The gentleman who checked me out was also great. He smiled the whole time and was very friendly. I unfortunately left my purse in the room. He assisted me with retrieving it from the room. I really appreciate his understanding and patience.
Location, and the overall cleanliness of the hotel.
Charged you for everything... To park your car, even a cup of water.
Perfect location in the historic district, right on the river.
They would not give me a king room without paying a $35 up-charge. I know there is no guarantee of room type with Priceline, but 95% of the time the hotel is able to accommodate my request.
