The location was good
We had no choice as all hotels on shanghai were busy this was last choice and thats how it should be.
It's was horrible room. We stayed in room 225. It was terrible noisy. Every morning from 08:30 the kitchen exhaust blows into our room. Bugs are running everywhere and room was dirty. Even after our complain nobody of the staff or managment seems to be surprised and the answer was" it's expo in shanghai. If you don't like it look for another one."So, we did. And there are many better hotels in the neighbourhood. Same price, much better services. So, think first before you book this. Don't expect western standard at all. Staff doesn't speak English, but they pretent to understand.
Location is good. Near the Bund and 3-5 min from Nanjing Rd. Convience is the biggest positive of this hotel. The price is also a major bargain for the given location.
The staff needs to improve on english skills. They werent too helpful when you needed something in english. Even the manager didnt try to help with a request, he simply shooed you away. This is a budget hotel so if pricing and location is the biggest criteria than this hotel is ok. But just be prepared for the lack of front desk service. The bed is also hard as a rock. Even for chinese standards. Get used to a somewhat uncomfortable sleep if you normally sleep on a soft bed.
The only good thing about the hotel is the location, the rest is not described qs seen on the website.
The hotel does not match the pictures and reviews of the website.
I don't know why your price was higher than the hotel list price( before disscount)
Not clean ,no serious reservation , very small rooms not well educated stuff ( no english speaking )
