Overall the hotel was not bad, very good location, very friendly and helpful staff. Rooms were cleaned promptly.
The breakfast selection was horrible, and the price of the hotel per night was overrated given the size and outlook of the room.
Except for the food, with the same food every morning for breakfast!! so we eat the same menu for 4 days!! no enough space for the guest to relax at the lobby with limited chairs that could accomodate 2 to 3 guests only.

I am very disappointed that suddenly my credit card was charged s$276 for 2 nights instead of the s$234.50 I was charged during booking. The reason I booked earlier was to avail of lower rates yet I was charged at current rates. All these without advice from BOOKING.com and Hotel Bencoolen. Why was I sent a boolking confirmation with the amount of s$234.50 Then charged more? Unitl now I am disputing this amount that was charged to me. Hot water ran out quickly every day. Showers needed to be kept short.
A few minutes walk to the tram station, and easy access to bisuiness center or any other place. Good food court, really good taste, opens almost 24 hr just in front of the hotel. The breakfast of the hotel is just normal. The room was clean with comfortable shower & air conditioner.
It would be nice to have free wifi service. And more better if wired lan connection were available in the rooms, because the wifi access was rather weak and slow.. Room is not large, but I know this is a typical size for the hotels in asia.
Tv wasn't working. Staff takes ages to come up to check the tv. Did not recevie any service at all. The worst breakfast I had had in my life. Bad bad bad
