Sixt ar SLC has been great. The pickup and drop off are quick, easy, and friendly. I have both times received an upgrade on the vehicle. The shuttle has always been right there for me both directions. The one downside the first time I rented from SIXT was that there's no signage to tell me where to find the shuttle. I had to ask lots of questions to find it. And it's a bit of a walk away, past all the rental cars and out to the curb, in case that makes a difference to someone.

I had a very disappointing and frustrating experience with Sixt at the Zurriola branch in San Sebastián. From the moment I arrived, the staff — particularly one lady at the counter — was extremely rude and unhelpful. Instead of assisting me, she blamed me for booking through a third-party agent, as if that somehow justified the poor service I was receiving. It was very clear that priority and better treatment were being given to customers who booked directly with Sixt. Despite receiving a confirmation for my booking, I was informed upon arrival that there was no vehicle available for me. Without any apology or accountability, I was redirected to another Sixt branch, only to face the exact same situation there — no car available. This not only disrupted my travel plans but caused a great deal of unnecessary stress. To make matters worse, I had to make numerous international calls to Sixt’s customer support, incurring significant roaming charges. Each call was time-consuming, and though I was repeatedly promised a compensation voucher for the inconvenience, I have yet to receive anything — even weeks later. Overall, the experience was unprofessional, disorganized, and costly. I expected a much higher standard of service from a company like Sixt, and I will seriously reconsider using them in the future. I hope Sixt addresses these systemic issues and improves both their customer service and booking reliability.

The car delivered was not as represented and did not fit our group, they offered a car that was closer to what was reserved, but only if we paid another $450 on the spot. Said they could do nothing and gave an email address to write to. No one ever responded to the email.

Very nice vehicle upgrade. New, clean, nice options. Front desk employee issuing vehicle was so friendly. Absolutely zero headaches.

We could not understand with the Sixt employee whether the cancellation should be arranged with Kayak or Sixt themselves.

Slow. Despite accepting the booking didn't have the booked car. Then didn't have an alternate ready even though pick up time was on booking, then didn't have a clean car. Overall, it was not a great experience.

We were treated grossly unfair. Upon arrival I told them I lost my drivers license. Told me they had to cancel my contract and rebook it for twice the price with my wife. A 649.00 rental turned into 1100.00 rental. Suggested they take me off the primary driver and substitute it for my wife . Told me they could not do it. Will never use this rental company again
