I have stayed at several Staybridge hotels in the past and always enjoy my stay. However, this hotel was similar in looks but it SMELLED like dirty gym socks. I had to buy a candle to put in my room because the smell was so overwhemlming.
Place was very clean and staff very helpful.Great pla for the barbeque which we gladly used
Kitchen in room, breakfast, modern (not run down), a bunch of restaurants in walkable distance, not far off highway
Via the app I reserved a room with two double beds, but got a room with one king and one pull out couch.
the spacious room
930 got a noise complaint from our 3 year old that was stuck in the car for 5 hours.
Nice, clean. We liked the free drinks and finger food Tues. Through Friday. Nice breakfast.
clean, large room with optional pull-out couch in suite
pool water seemed over clorinated/dirty (not clear) wasn't sure if there should have been coffee in the suite's kitchen to use with the coffee maker -- would have been nice. more gluten&dairy-free breakfast options, please! no milk in eggs please!
Furnished kitchen, convenient location.
Needs new towels.
Was told that even though we had booked a double queen room they only had a one full bed room.
Very roomy, full kitchen , hot breakfast , evening free beers and snacks
Coffee very strong in room and downstairs. Maybe provide lighter blend for those of us who don't like strong coffee
The room surpassed my expectations. It was a very large room, with the kitchen and work space nicely appointed. The bathroom and dressing area as well were very nice. I was quite impressed. I didn't expect much, but was really impressed.
The cleanliness and friendliness.
I booked a room with two double beds for the first night but got a king size bed instead.
Our first room the a/c and the garbage disposal were not operating properly. Room smelled horrible because of food left over in disposal. Housekeeping should have caught this error and not let anyone check in that room until it was fixed.
Clean and good location
Breakfast was mediocre. Oatmeal was barely warm, bananas were way over-ripe.
hotel was average but prive line marketed as a suite with two rooms which wasn't the case. I ended up sleeping on a couch bed pull out next to the king which my dad used. Thought these were bedroom with living
Space available was generous.
1. Water is so soft, you don't feel clean after a shower. 2. Mattress was incredibly hard and the pillows were small and too soft with little form to them. 3. Breakfast, though generous, had rubber omelety things, soggy potatoes, overcooked sausage.
We got a handicap room which is a studio and lots of annoying features but the second room was two beds and a seperate bedroom awesome room
The handicap room
location compared to where we would be spending our time and the fact that there was a kitchenette
the room was not very clean and the breakfast food was not very good at all. The pots in the kitchenette were not useable for anyone that cares about what they put in their body.
easy in aqnd out of traffic
no room cleaning on weekends
Hotel was very clean and nice.
I was kept up for hours and hours. There was a loud party going on at the pool and I called management 3 times and nothing was done.
Nice facilities, modern and clean. Friendly staff.
The hallways were very loud, all the way up until 11:00 PM. Lots of slamming doors, hollering, etc. Not necessarily the hotel's fault, but really diminished the overall experience.
The room was good, but they had plumbing issues. The hot tub was closed, pool dirty, and the bathroom in hallway was broken.
Yes. There was 1 employee that was very rude, and needs a class in customer service. I will never stat at this Staybridge because of her!
Hotel is very clean and up to date. I had a one bedroom king suite while travelling with my 6 year old and 2 year old. They loved having their own room and so did I. Breakfast was well-stocked and continually cleaned up. Indoor pool is smallish but warm, though the room is incredibly echo-ey and loud. Staff was professional and great. On the expensive side for the area but I've stayed at other SB hotels and this was vastly superior to all of them.
My daughter and I came to South Bend to see Notre Dame University. We stayed here for several days during our visit. The room was large, had a kitchenette, and was very clean and quiet. The location was a few minute drive to the Notre Dame campus, and a few more minutes to downtown. The breakfast was excellent, very well stocked and good choices. Hopefully, my daughter will become a Fighting Irish, and I will stay at the Staybridge again
