Everything was fantastic! The room was spotless and comfy like home!
older hotel, maintained well. awkward elevator lacation. outside pool in new england??? breakfast was a contenental style meager presentation just thrown out on a table. 2 star rating !
Hotel room was very roomy, comfortable bed. Area was very quite. there was a very good restaurant in the hotel, where we ate and had a very good meal at a good price. and also a big, beautiful outdoor swimming pool. Beach just down the road
The hotel is on the low end of average. The location was why I picked the hotel as it is close to URI. The hallways and staircases are dark and somewhat dirty. Although the staff was very nice and tried to be accomodating, they seemed to have a hard time meeting guest requests on a timely basis. The outdoor pool was actually very nice and we enjoyed swimming in the late afternoon/early evening as it gets plenty of sun.
Worked out perfectly for a 1 night stay. Very comfortable.
WE stayed here 2 nights. We had an appointment at noon and stayed in our room until 11:00 am. We left and didn't return till late that evening and our room was never cleaned. When we left the cleaning staff was in the next room and complaining to each other on how much they had to do. We complained and was told that they walk past our room and we were there so they didn't clean it. Inother words if you are not out by a set time they don't clean your room and make no attemp to come back and clean your room. We were gone all afternoon and evening but they don't clean our room. Talking to the desk manager they told me I should have told them when we were leaving. (Never had to do that before). Complain to Corp. and they didn't care. Said they would forward my letter to the Holiday inn in RI. Also hotel resturant closed during lunch hours. Can we say inconvenient.
I stayed at this Holiday in this summer for a weekend getaway. After having problems with the car rental agency it was nice to have a smooth check in and clean and comfortable room. The location was great for visiting all that this area of Rhode Island has to offer.
Hotel staff were professional and informative with things to do in and around the area. Room was very clean and I really enjoyed having a ground level room so that I could be close to the pool. Trolley pickup at the hotel was fun also.
nice staff, convenient location, WE WILL BE BACK , WHEN IN THIS EREA
A very pleasant stay.
for the 2nd night, the room simply had not beeen made up; found it out at 09:30pm and no remedy whatsoever offered by the highly unfriendly reception staff of two , who were found to smoke their cigarettes just outside the hotel on several occasions, thus certainly having time available to stand in for the failure of their cleaning staff.\n\nThere is nbo breakfast buffet formula, making the breakfast a endless story, with the orange juices being brought to the table (by a young waitress) even after eggs/bacon were there for a while; thus perfectly matering of serving things in the wrong sequence.\n\nThis Holiday Inn seems to be operated by a 3rd party called TPG Hospitality, or should it perhaps be TPG Unhospitality?
pleasantly surprised, very clean, comfortable beds, quiet, coffee available, security entrance at all times.
The toilets are so low down and the tolet paper is hard to roll out.
I have a student at URI, and stayed at this hotel in 2005 & 2006, found it very resonable and clean. But this year the rates went up $*, and puts it out of my range for an only average room with no ammenities for fall & winter.
