Great location and helpful staff. The breakfast was great. The hotel also included parking with the room rate.
The Staff was exceptional and very friendly. The amenities/room/and parking were better than we expected. Security at this hotel is well above average for this area.We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with Pear Tree Inn. The staff is friendly and courteous, the rooms are well equipped (my daughter loved the fact that we had both feather & regular pillows on the beds and my husband & I both appreciated the regular/pillowtop mattresses instead of memory foam). As we were in the area for a dance convention, my daughter also enjoyed the fact that we had the option to eat a hot breakfast downstairs instead of her having to get up early in order to find a restaurant before her classes began. We will definitely be staying at the Pear Tree again on our next trip to ST. Louis!
The Free happy hour was fun and the staff was really nice.
The hotel bar was nice. It had a good layout and lots of space. The food was good, too.
I did not like the location. By location, I probably mean St. Louis. My parking garage was locked up tighter than a crown jewel. They have access codes for the parking lot entrance. You get the code when you check in. I felt my vehicle was safe. It's a decent stay. Nothing too special. I was only in town to see the arch.

lobby area swimming pool elevatorsWe thought this hotel was ok. We felt reasonably safe but the hotel is a little too far from most of the downtown attractions to be able to walk to them. The free breakfast/coffee was convenient and well stocked, but the quality of the food items was pretty much cafeteria grade. The lobby area was kind of chaotic with the only elevator in the hotel being right there with the front door/check in area/swimming pool/breakfast area. Definitely a family friendly environment as there were kids everywhere! Expect a wait during the busy hours for your elevator. Management was friendly and worked hard to keep things clean. The only way to the pool was through the lobby and breakfast area so it can be kind of a put off while you're eating breakfast to see tons of people going in and out in their wet bathing suits. The room was clean, with nice bedding and soft pillows and the bathro...
Very friendly staff, loved the free parking, very hard to find in downtown St. Louis.
Close proximity to the arch.
The room smelled like cigarettes.Staff was great! Continental breakfast was exceptional.
The price was right, for starters. The staff were all wonderful and friendly. The assistant general manager was very competent. He appeared to genuinely enjoy his job. Breakfast, drinks, and snacks for kids was unique.
The hotel lobby was poorly designed and the entrance for cars was incredibly congested. The poor desk workers were freezing cold because the lobby was incredibly breezy. I felt bad for their working conditions.
