Cons:Hidden fees. Unavailable cars. No mention of credit card hold.
Pros:The manager resolved my issues with them not having a car for me on the lot as best he could. He was courteous and professional and the staff was friendly despite having irate customers. That made the whole experience a reason I would use them again.
Cons:I pre-booked a compact SUV and when I arrived, but after I did the paperwork and paid/put down deposit, was told the only vehicle on the entire lot was a mini-van. That was my only option otherwise I'd have to return the following day to get the car type I reserved. Apparently this is a common problem.

Cons:Give people the choice of what type of gas they prefer (i.e. regular gas vs E85). Not many gas stations carry E85, almost ran out of petro.
Pros:The vehicle (GMC Yukon 2019) was great and served our purpose while visiting our son in the Air Force. Loved the cooling seats during the 90 degree 90% humidity and then heated when the temp dropped to 47 our last day!
Cons:The third row had NO leg room for our older kids and had to put the littlest one back there. We did not receive any direction on the vehicle usage...(how to put the seats down with the buttons, if the middle seats adjusted back and forth, how to use the touch screen or what was available through it! We had to take the time to read manuals and “play around” to figure things out ourselves. We had “requested” a Ford as we are familiar with their systems.
Cons:The charge for an extra driver is exorbitant and will cause us to check out vendors that don't have this extra charge in the future

Cons:Our flight arrived at 11:00pm, by the time we got to the rental car location it was abandoned. There was a sign that directed customers to go to the 4th floor and when we got there, it was once again deserted. There were no numbers to call and no persons that could help us get our rental. Two other couples were there experiencing the same issue as us. This was extremely unprofessional and the last thing someone wants to deal with after a flight, especially at night. We had to find an Uber and paid over $100 so that he could take us into Austin. Will never rent a car from thrifty or Kayak ever again and I’ll advise any of my friends or family to stay away.

Pros:The car was well-maintained and drove well! Good gas mileage, comfortable ride.
Cons:Whatever was used to clean the steering wheel was very sticky and gross, even after being wiped off. Not sure why, but would love a less grimy encounter next time!
