Charged us a ridiculous amount of money for a 2 mm scratch on the rim of one tire which we claimed was there when we picked up. We didn’t think it at all significant to report at pick up. And now we are being charged for it which was always there.

I’ll never use thrifty again. The tactics they use to upsell additional features, insurance, etc. are deceptive.

The price was higher than advertised when I reserved. Insurance fee was also higher than what Kayak showed. Also the car was smaller (small SUV instead of an intermediate SUV) but at least it was new.

I needed to change the dates of my reservation, but was informed I needed to cancel and rebook. The website states free cancellation, however that is false advertisement. After multiple calls I was told I would get no reimbursement for my reservation. Do not offer free cancellation when you’re not going to honor it. I will not use Kayak again.

We reserved a mid size car. Upon arrival, only a large truck was available. For an extra $200, we were provided with a vehicle that we had originally confirmed. Weird.
