Room was nice, clean, liked that the fridge is contained in it's own cupboard to keep noise down. Pool and sauna were excellent, clean and at a good temp.
If booking online means getting placed in the worst locations, I'll spend the lousy $10 I saved trying to make sure I had a reservation since I'm coming from out of town. Got placed next to the maid's muster area which meant I was awakened at 6 am!
The view to the mountains
It's outside of town to the south.
The room was great, everything I needed was there. The staff was very helpful. Even though we were a bit out of town (Thunder Bay), it was a blessing, for we found most of Thunder Bay to be a bit run down, and sometimes slightly scary.
Although the view was great, I didn't like that the outside patio allowed anyone to walk up to our room.
Convenient to highway. It was quiet- nice rural setting.
Awesome views from the back patio. My wife and I had cocktails on the deck the staff was outstanding
I'm in a wheelchair so the start couldn't do enough for me to make sure my stay was excellent. I will be coming back to Thunder Bay and when I do, I'll be staying at this location. My step son also commented that the staff was excellent and friendly.
I understand that they will not pick up any personal items on the floor, but I dropped a broucher in the bathroom and forgot to pick it up before I left. When I came back and the room has been cleaned it was still on the floor.
Staff and cleanliness
Cheap finish of renovation Food bland in restaurant
The Best Western Nor'wester was just outside of town a bit and it was quiet. There was a pretty green space, grassy with a little pond out back. Geese landed there in the morning and evenings.
It was a solid 20 minutes south of the downtown area. While it's nice that it was out of town, it was a haul to get there. BUT - it's closer to the airport than some.
The outdoor grounds, especially the Adirondack chairs near the fountain. Also, the swimming pool was excellent.
Comfortable room. Good dining room. Good sitting areas for socializing, including very nice deck area.
Room maintenance - had to ask for toiletries.
The room was very comfortable and it had a sliding glass door so that we could unload/re;oad our car directly into our room.
It didn;t include breakfast. We've stayed in Plus hotels before and they had breakfast. The last one had someone making omlets at breakfast. This had no breakfast. Oh well, it was a wonderful hotel just the same. Bring breakfast with you.
