Situated by the lakefront and close to the Friendship Store, the Crystal Palace Hotel is one of the better top-end hotels in Tianjin. It is a 4-star Sino-American venture that provides comfort and good views to the passing businessman or traveler. There are a total of 279-rooms and suites here, including apartments and office space. All rooms are available with satellite TV, mini-bar, IDD telephone, air-conditioning and 24-hour room service. For recreation purposes, the Crystal Palace has a good health club with a massage and sauna center, a fully equipped gymnasium and a tennis court. There is also a swimming pool and a supermarket, and the business center provides secretarial and communication services. Where the hotel excels is in its restaurants, serving a good mixture of Chinese and Western cuisine. The Crysrock Bar is probably the most interesting, providing a mixture of traditional American foods, relaxed surroundings, live entertainment and dancing.
