I am currently sitting in a Days Inn room. My reservation was for 3 nights; I was unhappy enough that I considered going across the street to the Comfort Inn until I read their reviews. For $50 less for my 3rd night, I'm staying put. I've stayed in several Days Inns from coast to coast and this is by far the worst. Pitfalls of this particular Days Inn: Non-smoking room that smells like it was heavily smoked in within the last week, carpet has multiple obvious stains, table top surfaces were not clean, had to clean the clock and t.v. remote before I could use either one, the full length mirror was FILTHY, refrigerator froze my 1/2 gallon of milk and take out pasta leftovers overnight on the lowest setting, microwave is very, very weak. There were a sneaker and pen under one of the beds in the room, the shower curtain had a hole in it, two of my towels had holes and one of the wash cloths looked like it had been used to dust the top of the luggage shelf before it was put on the towel rack. Breakfast is not continental; it is a hot, served breakfast; not a bad deal unless you were planning to grab fruit and a bagel and run. Restaurant is not what I would consider full service. There are 15-20 small tables close together in the 'club'; the room was in really, really rough shape and had a dirty and dingy appearance. I was unaware until I checked in that the corridors were exterior. Things that were not so bad: friendly front desk staff, 70 television channels to choose from, good travel shampoo and conditioner, there was one packaged make up remover in the basket on the sink (a nice touch; I used it to clean the clock and remote!), room has a fridge and microwave (better to have frozen food than spoiled food, I suppose), the tub/shower and sink area were clean (if they had not been, I would have asked for a new room or a refund),
Cheap rent, friendly staff, clean room. My friend and I stayed here for a night to look at Towson University, we are both 22 year old women, and we felt very safe and had no unpleasant/shady encounters. The staff was extremely friendly and the free breakfast was better than expected. I'm not sure if pets are 'allowed' but all the apartments open directly to the outside and we could have definitely brought a dog with no problem.
I arrived with VERY low expectations, as it was memorial day weekend and all other hotels nearby were booked. After arriving exhausted the man at the front desk could not find the reservation... even after pulling up the confirm on my iphone he continued to hassle me. I was given 4 different room keys that didn't work. When he finaly let me in the room with an actual key... (Meaning I cldn't leave without being locked out again) I discovered the room was filthy. There was hair and a nasty layer of grime around the tub... The front desk had no cleaning supplies... I had to go to the nearby 7eleven for clorox to take a shower, and in the morning after only a few hrs of fitful sleep on a questionably clean bed, an impatient man banging on the door advised me I was given a defective room and had to take another one immediately. He proceeded to STAND there while I collected my things. Needless to say I handed my non~working key in immediately and had the remainder of my stay refunded. DON'T DO IT!!!
Hotel was clean and located close to the expressway staff friendly
Very convienent location, good restaurant and bar. Good value for price.
I stayed there on a saturday night. Got a jacuzzi room and the night started off as a good one. Then about 2 am a huge fight broke out behind the hotel near my room. It lasted for about an hour and by the end of it there were 10 plus people involved. I say this so you can picture how loud and serious this was. NO POLICE WERE EVER CALLED. I did not feel like the hotel was providing anywhere near an acceptable amount of security for its patrons. On top of all this after the fight out vehicle was towed from the lot. It was not parked illegally and did have the parking permit in the vehicle. I had to eat the 220 dollar tow fee and made a complaint with the main office as well as the manager of the establishment (though i only got his voicemail) I have yet to hear from the manager. I highly encourage you to find accomadations elsewhere. There are plenty of other hotels in the area. I will never stay in a ramada again.
The room has a bad mildew odor and the carpet is sticky as if it had not been cleaned in a long time. The tub/shower has not been properly cleaned as there are stains around the fixtures. There is grunge on the walls like they have bed bugs or roaches which is a health issue. The foot of the bed is tilted upward so we laid on a slant and the fact that check out is 12:00PM and someone was at the door at 9:00AM asking were we checking out and then came back at 11:50AM. Did I mention we had a late check in so why would she be my door at 9 AM? The pool doesnt open until 12:00 which is check out time so if any of the kids in your group want to swim before check out they can't. The man at the desk at check out was pleasant but not concerned with my issues and the woman the night before was horrible, if she doesnt like dealing with people then she shouldnt work at the front desk, and she didnt give me a receipt for my stay. I hope my credit card is billed correctly the way she handled my reservations. Now considering the poor upkeep of your property and the money charged I could have stayed anyplace else for the way she acted. Tried to reach the manager but never answered calls or emails. Did I mention across the street is a seedy hotel and some shady characters, look at the pic in the background bluiding, looks different at night! Take your chances!!!!
Hotel accomodations are pretty average, everything in the room was average, but for the price you can't go wrong. However, you definately need to make other breakfast plans as the free continental breakfast is a joke. All in all, a fair price on a room in a descent part of Baltimore. I would stay again.
Room was ready when we got there at midnight and all accomadations were fine. Wished the outdoor pool had been opened earlier in the day. Didn't open until Friday and we had our site-seeing plans previously made, so didn't get to sit in the sun or use the pool. Disappointed in the continental breakfast.
After reading some of the OLD reviews I was hesitant on staying here, however, I was pleasantly surprised. I needed to be close to the site for my cousins wedding and this Comfort Inn was perfect for my needs. The front desk was great, the bed was extremely comfortable and the FREE breakfast in the morning, was free unlike what others said. It is close to alot of restaurants and easy to find right off the interstate. I will definitely stay there again if I need to be in that area.
Desk clerk only activated room key for 1 day when our reservation specified 2 days. Free breakfast was restricted to 2 per room with no regard for the number of people staying in it. Breakfast on Sunday had nothing hot. Sink had no stopper. When comments were made to the desk clerk on check out, he took no notes and did not seem interested.
Filthy, Dirty, Smelly, Unsafe, Rotting garbage, Abandoned vehicle, Used condoms, Half empty liquor bottles, discarded hair weave. People knocking on door in middle of night. Free breakfast, but $3.00 charge for coffee. Hope you enjoy your stay.
Dingy, rundown, noisy, poor climate control, awful beds, $8.00 ''free'' breakfast.Very nice housekeeping and front desk staff.
The place is definitely rundown, and not worth the $. It also appears to be a local hangout for some, and as a single female staying here alone I feel a bit uneasy. The pool is only open during the summer, but they don't specify that and one of the reasons I chose this place was because of the pool. On a good note, the worker at the front desk was extremely nice and helpful.
Goes down as the worst hotel I ever stayed at. The room had little bugs flying around. There was pop stains on the door. Door was hard to close. Bathroom was very tiny. Next morning breakfast was suppost to be free off the menu, it ended up being a buffet, there were no clean tables. The place was dirty. I would even get a cup of coffee there. Stuff was all over the floor. We went across the street and ate.
