It was good to get away from the center of town and onto the side of the mountain with nice environment and great views. The individual buildings with 4 rooms each were a nice touch, but parking near the room was sometimes an issue. The room was very spacious and the beds very comfortable (we had a 2-bed room); however, the layout of the space wasn't thought out. For instance, the TV was mounted in such a way that it was impossible / difficult to watch from either the bed or the couch; only the 2 straight-back chairs at the desk/table provided a good view of the screen. But, we weren't in Tucson to watch TV so that's a pretty picky complaint.
No microwave to go with the fridge, but I didn't ask for one so maybe that's my fault. Clearly it's an older facility that needs a little more TLC, but generally a 3 star hotel. Maybe it's focus is more on the Spa aspect than the "hotel" aspect; I wouldn't know since we didn't avail ourselves of those services. I got a decent deal on the room so for the price I'd probably stay there again.
Rooms R comfortable n spacious.
This is my 4 or 5th stay. Every time it is wonderful. This time we got a special rate and were 20 steps to the jacuzzi. Poolside. Great room. We are going back tonight w same rate and room. Awesome!
Furniture looking a bit shabby I'm sure they will replace side chairs....
Spa staff are great.
Room wasn't clean. More of a ranch than resort.
No bathtub in room but plenty of bugs instead. Rude front desk staff, awkward room setup, terrible TV channel selection. Even though it was a deal, I expect more from a resort.
Historic and redone rooms. Great history and value,
Way to many old people. It was like Cocoon live!
Room was not up to our satisfaction, had to be moved to a new room. Housekeeping left bags of trash and linens scattered around the common areas.
The property is beautiful and well kept, staff was very friendly. Highly reccomend!
When we arrived we were given a gift for our pet which included 3 different kinds of pet snacks, a toy and a poop bag. Our room had sliding doors that opened up onto an outdoor trail where they had a waste receptacle for pets and also extra bags. Easy access and made taking the dog out and for walks and potty breaks really easy. We also took the dog to the outdoor dining areas at happy hour and the staff was very accommodating. Very impressed. Would definitely stay here again. The spa was also nice. I indulged with a massage.
$75 pet fee seemed a title high. Used to paying $50 in most hotels.
The views were fantastic. Gorgeous setting. Gardens stunning. Great room size
Front desk staff aloof and unfriendly at check in. Our room was clean on arrival but showed its age in ways like the frame on the picture over the wall was disjointed severely at one edge. The next day we were gone all day and came home to no room service. When I called housekeeping they said they were on break and would come by later. This was almost nine pm. While they cleaned we went to the hot tub. The light on the side was out of the socket and laying dangerously on the hot tub floor. Service was very slow at breakfast.
Size of room, bathroom layout, price
Hidden $22 fee. I will not ever make another reservation through Kayak because they did not identify this added fee up front
room set up and flow of the room, as well as the decoration
the shower had mold, the ceiling leaked into our suit case and we were asked if we wanted to move but no refunds. The resort fee of $20 with tax on top of that is false advertising! we did not use the pool, fitness room, internet or any of the other hotel facilities we were required to pay. I will NOT stay at Wyndham Resorts ever again
The room was clean and spacious.
The check-in process was painfully long and confusing. At first they couldn't confirm our reservation from Kayak. Next they couldn't find us an available room that was the type that we reserved. Finally, there was a problem with their payment system that was rejecting all of my cards. Staff was overworked.
When I didnt care for the room they relocated me to a great venue that was newly remodeled.
The pool rooms were not yet remodeled.
Friendly helpful staff, accommodations, isolation, property, location, activities, pretty much everything!
The fact that it was our birthday celebration weekend and we could not eat at gold's restaurant Friday evening at check in because of local walk-ins at dinner time. Although the food at the gold restaurant was excellent, it was very pricey.
