We loved interaction with the elephants and speaking with their mahouts about their training.
Two things: 1. We were uncomfortable that elephants had both legs chained at night. We understand the reason but think you should do a better outreach, so that your guests understand why this is needed before they become upset by it. An orientation program would do it. 2. Guests need more education about elephants. We don't just want them to do a few tricks, we want to learn about how they think and what they are capable of. Mahouts can provide some of this information but it should be formally presented to interested guests by means of evening or morning lectures.
Two thumbs up! The main exclusive feature is elephants and opportunity to watch them, feed them, even participate in morning bathing :) Ride them in the night and day trip (not to long trips but just perfectly long enough to get pleasure and not to get tired). Dinner after night trip is recommended. Cuisine was very good - delicious juice shakes, and steak was more than perfect. Service with great attention to details and at the same time staff efforts stay almost invisible for you, you just enjoy the results of the service. Beautiful elephants, two little ones were very cute. The place is unique. Really recommend to arrive there at earliest possible time.
A bit expensive, but worth it. The only thing - it's hard to imagine what to do there more than 1-2 days. Located in the center of the Bali island, so it takes time to get there (and back). Hotel owners might teach elephant drivers few more english phrases, because it gets a bit boring to answer the same standard question they ask you ;)
Calm and peacefull atmosphere, firendly and willing staff, beautiful gardens. Clean and well maintained rooms. Fantastic place to relax.
Only weak lighting in the rooms.
It was very nice stay in the hotel watching/riding elephants. Unforgettable experiences.
It would be nice to have a bathtub in this luxury hotel for relaxation.
Amazing facilities, luxurious room, brilliant staff, fantastic elephants and view over the park. We definitely recommend paying the extra for a park view room. It has been the highlight of our month in Bali and would recommend a visit (if not a stay) to the Safari Park... washing the elephants was so exciting. One word of caution: the Safari Park is located 15km north of Ubud and not the one on the coast!!! Not everyone is aware of the accommodation at the park.
Nothing - It was amazing.
