Clean rooms, super-friendly staff. Great pool and good location. The swimming pool was great. Staff were amazing. The property was very spacious, despite the kids (15 and 9years) being in the lounge - there was still more than enough space. Kitchenette was great, everything we needed and all very clean. The apartment was surprisingly spacious. The interior was interesting and gave off vintage vibes. The balcony alone was larger than regular hotel rooms. The pool is shielded from the winds. The beach nearby has the best childrens playground we have seen in Greece. Value for money Location Quite Old but has charm Personnel was very nice and responsive. It’s a modern and spacious apartment, it has everything you need to cook. The cleaning service was perfect; ironed sheets, comfy pillows and towels. And there was not noise to sleep well. A spacious unit consisting of a large bedroom, bathroom and open sitting area and kitchen and balcony. There is a small pool, bar and the social areas were pleasant. The staff were very helpful. We liked the location, It was approx a 10 minute walk to the seafront. The area was quiet at night. Room was very clean and comfortable and also view of balcony was excellent. The whole thing was OK. Reasonable apartment, reasonable cleanliness, reasonably close to the beach, absolutely gorgeous view. I was upgraded to a larger room, which was kind. The rooms were cute and styled nicely. It was clean and easy. The staff and downstairs bar area was nice too. Staff were super helpful and gave us a lot of useful information on arrival for visiting Athens etc. Pool and room good but fairly basic. Great location for the beach (10/15 min walk). The bathroom was well set up and the towels were very nice. The set up of the apartment was good. Air con was in every room. Close to beach area and main strip with restaurants etc. Very nice late modernist apartments with all necessary appliances, beautiful materiality and integrated original furniture. Island feeling in the city. Also the common areas are very thought trough and beautifully detailed. Great small swimming pool. Loved the spacious rooms, the vintage seventies style of the building and interior, and the personal touch of the staff. The place is okay, but a little old and tired, but I knew that already from the pictures online. The staff were friendly and the pool was lovely (but small). The apartment was very big and clean. From the moment we landed till the moment we took off, Greece and and Greek people were an absolute delight. I was astonished by the hospitality and my family adored every moment in gorgeous Varkiza. You can walk by foot to Vougliameni beaches, its about 5km and worth to see. The hotel was a bargain for the location and for the size of the facilities. The beach is about 15 minutes by foot, closest shop/kiosk is about 10 min by foot, bakery and restaurants by the beach are around 15 min by foot. Bus stop, around 17 min by foot. There are 2 mini markets/shops so please check prices before you shop as one of them has astronomical prices and the second one that is facing the beach is a lot more reasonable. You can also get Uber or a bus and go to Lidl, its about 10km away. Highly recommend the Grill House and Casa Victoria for food in Varkiza. Receptionists at the hotel were incredibly helpful and friendly, explained everything that we needed to know to get around. There were 6 of us in the apartment and it was plenty of space with a big balcony. Really clean and tidy. Quite old apartment type hotel. Paper thin walls make getting to sleep difficult. No blinds in the room. Outdated. The mattress was horrible!!!! It’s completely uncomfortable, like sleeping on a rock. It was very very very hard. I had to sleep on the couch which was better. I assume that beds are heavy, because it was very dirty underneath, I found a condom package in my last day… The Kitchen was with bas small. No Hot water in the shower. Toilet with very very slow refill. The pool is too deep (1,90-2,70m) and thus not suitable for kids, at least on one side it should be not so deep, so one can stand... the furniture is quite old, but still practical and functional... Very old hotel. Next to decrepit buildings filled with garbage. Not at all what i expected from the photos, the price and the 4-stars label!!!! The room decor was slightly tired and the main bed was really hard. It wasnt clean. Decor (lounge) was a little dated could do with refurbished fabric. In general the accommodation is a bit run down. Chairs and fixed furniture need reparations. Bathroom was a bit dirty. Space around the pool needs some reparations… Important to do those interventions in the spirit of the building. It was hard to cool the entire studio with just one AC. Nothing. Beds are back breakers, mattresses are not good. And the place is insanely loud! Had no sleep due to loud teenagers (I hope). Also, there is daylight or halway light shining in 24/7. Due to bad blinders.di sleeping is a challenge. For this price…a no-go. It’s not 4 star. It is an old building. It is maintained but you can see the age of the infrastructure and does look like something brought from the 80s. The price of the room also should have been lower. It is still mostly original decor and fixtures., so it could use some updating for practical purposes. The air conditioner fan was not working which would have been a greater problem later in the summer. Pool was very cold. the privacy is zero in this property, the room curtains were transparent the neighbors can see you while you are taking a shower, you can’t lock the bathroom door when we asked for the keys the staff said no keys for the doors. The double bed had a bad mattress. Too soft to support the weight, such that you sink down in the middle. the stone floors made the room very cold. a bit more cleaning of appliances in the kitchen. The place seems built in the 80s or so and built for summer weather i think. duvet blankets in colder times would be nice.
