Nice rooms and coffee machine
The hotel was very nice, and the staff was very helpful.
The location was excellent for the "city" of Wageningen; there was an espresso machine in the room; the room was huge. For my taste it has the best croissants outside of France.
My colleague and I had both rooms on floor 1 and 2 at the far end of the hotel floor, for "good" reasons: a constant rumbling and humming noise from the exhaust system, this was annoying, not easy to find sleep, the statement of the front desk that "this will stop in an hour" was a lie, it never stopped. Next, the bathroom has no heating: I got cold feet while in the warm shower. The free spring water provided in a bottle is a fake. The fact that it was filled to maximum, but the cap was already opened before I touched it, indicates a possible cheap refill with tab water (seems to be a standard procedure in many hotels). The rooms are huge and empty, hence not very cosy, overall a cold design. Question of personal preference, however.
Nice and friendly staff, comfortable and spacious rooms, a relaxed atmosphere. Great place to withdraw after a hectic traveling work day.
Its excellent restaurant with intelligent wine list and very good served breakfast (wonderful, no buffet) in the centre of a town with good shops.
The noise from the kitchen's extractor fans, I imagine a room at the front would have avoided this. For one night this was ok, for a longer stay it might have been problematic.
Service was absolutely forst-class. Restaurant was amazing - breakfast roo/bar is very nice with a lot of Dutch ambiance
perfect location, attentive staff, wonderful breakfasts, beautiful hotel
I liked the furnishings, the shower, the heating and the food. Also the service.
I did smell some cigarette smoke, despite this being a non-smoking hotel
design of the room/bathroom
shower - the water did not flow off, one simply ended up standing in water when taking a shower (yuk)
The espresso machine in our room
No atmosphere, arrogant staff, " too much ado about nothing".
