Convenience to Gallaudet University, free shuttle to train
Not many options for food
Was secluded in a sketchy area, no one told us about the trolley service that wasn't even available most of the time, no one told us of the expensive parking fee, no refrigerator in the room, no evening restaurant or bar, prices in little lobby store were ridiculously high
Air conditioner was a little weak even on the highest setting... I found myself sweating when I woke up.
Always a pleasure to stay at the Kellogg Conference Center. Staff is very courteous,, rooms are comfortable and clean, parking is convenient. We will stay again..
Ambience staff location Bistro...please extend the hours from 7 to 10, would be great!!
Very convenient to the Capital, reasonable priced & peacefully quiet.
Overall ok experience. Decent price for DC area, about what you would expect for sub $200 a night. A step up from the motels in the area but nothing fancy. Good location with morning shuttle to metro station.
Bedding and room were not as clean as I would have liked. Water pressure in the shower was lacking. Not much in the way of luxury/amenities but not terrible for the price.
A professional aesthetic's architecture. Moreover a place to rest & an appreciation for the culture and community by and'large.
Paper work of third party Kayak did not comply, find or/ identify collaborative policy/or remuneration consistent with paperwork of said facility Kellogg. Therein propagating more confusion and overt cost of stay. Facilty repairs bath area must be completed before patron occupancy
I brought my family to D.C. for a weekend trip to see the sights. I felt that this hotel was a good choice so I didn't have to pay the high weekend rates inside D.C. My choice was worth my while because The Conference center allows their guests to use the university's college shuttle which runs every hour on the hour from Union Train Station, plus, the hotel itself has a free shuttle that will pick up and drop you off from whatever site in D.C. you want to see. It saves a lot on taxis. So it made sense. Plus the shuttle ride to D.C. is not that long at all, maybe 10 min at most. The conference center was clean in itself and the rooms were sufficient for a good night sleep a little tv and hot shower. We were there to see sites not to stay at a resort. The conference center itself is on the Gallaudet University which is a college for the deaf. That was a great experience for my 12 year old to see. I was so glad I could expose her to that. It was a great learning experience. I will definitely stay there again. One issue when we first got there, I purchased two rooms next to each other a week ahead on Kayak. When I got there they only showed one room and they were booked. I showed proof of my purchase, checked my bags, went site seeing and when we came back we had our 2 rooms. They made it work. Good for them.
