just a very mediocre hotel and you can do better in the area for the same or a few dollars more. didn't feel like my car was safe in the parking lot. noisy guests arriving and departing all thru the night. very loud truck/traffic noise made me run the AC for white noise to drone it out. would never stay here again or recommend it to anyone I know. It was so grubby I didn't even want to check out the free breakfast and went out to eat instead.
Margret on the desk was outstanding. Bathroom and carpet throughout was very dirty. Coffee maker and microwave was not plugged in and the receptacle was in an area hard to get to. After requesting twice to have them plugged in , the coffee pot was but not the microwave. A corner soap dish was removed from shower and the wall was damaged. Soap dish was laying in the corner of dressing area. We were told that they could not install the soap dish until the wall dried out and was repaired. Coffee pot never did work at all. Motorcycles continually ran up and down throughout the night and early morning.
We had booked two rooms...mine was non-smoking king. The room was disgustingly saturated with cat urine. I informed the front desk and she handed me some air freshening spray. I spent the evening out as late as possible and was happy to check out of that pigsty. I took the soiled laundry from a previous patron (perhaps the cat lady) that had been lying by the refrigerator to the front desk upon departure. She cited problems with housekeeping. Ya think? Wow, next time I will pony up more money and stay at a clean establishment. Still, I didn't think inexpensive had to mean dirty.
We were assigned to a smoking room instead of a non-smoking room as specified in our reservation. Room had a bad ordor from cigarette smoke. Bathroom floors weren't clean and bathroom light flickered all the time it was on. Not enough electrical outlets for lamps and appliances.
motel was very clean and quiet, checking in and out was a breeze would definately stay again if in that area
Our room was clean but the ottoman with the easy chair was HUGE. Couldn't hardly move it. The breakast bar was a pleasant surprize. They had a waffle machine as well as the standard 'free' breakfast. The people were pleasant but not very communicative. Would stay there again.
A very easy place to stay, good price for room, breakfast and pool
Walls are paper thin. Hotel employees had their children with them while they were working but allowed the children to run around anywhere they wanted. Room was clean, the shower worked and the staff was friendly.
My husband and I were traveling to see our son and his family and discovered that we could leave a day earlier but would have to stay in a hotel the first night instead of driving straight through. We found this hotel on your site and made reservations. The process was easy, and the hotel was better than we had hoped for. Thank-you it make our travels very pleasent.
So I made my decision based on what other reviewers said. I arrived in the evening the woman at the desk was more than helpful, the room was clean and the tv, heat, fridge and all that jazz worked perfectly. The room and the bed were much larger than I expected and they even had a pretty good breakfast set up in the morning. The only two things that we werent too happy about was that our neighbors were pretty loud late into the night and the bathroom shower showed signs of old water damage. I can't exactly blame the noise on the hotel though. Over all it was better than I expected and you can't beat it for the price. The breakfast was nice and the staff was really helpful and friendly.
My wife and I stayed here itwo nights n early October 2010 and were very impressed with the room cleanliness, bed comfort and overall value. We prepaid 15 days in advance and paid $ * plus tax. It is conveniently located on Route 30 and Interstate 83 and is in easy driving distance from just about everything in York. We were able to drive to York College of PA in less than 10 minutes. The road noise from Route 30 can be a little loud, and the walls are a bit thin so you can hear some sound from adjacent rooms and outside at night, but for the price those issues were minor to us. We plan to stay here again in November on our next trip to York, PA.
The rooms were nice but at 12 midnight there was a party of about 50 teens on the lawn loud and drinking. The front desk clerk came out and told them to be quiet 3 times. It re-eruted about 1 am, then the police were finally called. It is a really nice looking place so don't blame the establishment, it was the guest. It looks like it near the hub of resturants and stuff but it looks like the area shifted and moved down the road a bit to new resturants and hotel/motels. I would stay here again. it really has nice rooms.
