Miami Beach is the perfect culmination of culture, art and connection. So it’s no surprise that for our first Miami Art Week, we’re making out mark. With the world’s leading art fair, Art Basel, and several satellite fairs throughout the city – Miami Beach is going to be busier than ever. Which is why we’re partnering with Apostrophe Gallery to transform our hotel, KAYAK Miami Beach, into a cultural oasis.

Apostrophe is a new female-founded art x tech startup that’s based between NYC and Miami. They’re bringing an innovation-forward dimension to art – something we can appreciate – by committing to decentralizing the art gallery experience. And this week, with our partnership, they’ll be celebrating their official launch at KAYAK Miami Beach.

Our hotel and our restaurant, Layla, feature a curated collection of local and emerging artists in a variety of media, up for your enjoyment throughout Art Week. Apostrophe helps make the art buying process more accessible by accompanying each work with a thoughtfully placed QR code, to enable a more approachable and interactive e-commerce experience. So if you see something you like on our walls, you can easily make it yours.

Works on the property were selected by Apostrophe’s resident curator, Josh Campbell, featuring local and emerging artists Michael Sadowsky, Ella Barnes, Sarp Kerem Yavuz, Alexander Peters, Emery Morales and Arlene Delgado. Viral installation studio Plant Passenger and We Are Curated will host a live-art activation at the entrance of our hotel with native plants placed in classic cars to encourage conversations around lowering your carbon footprint.

But wait, there’s more. It wouldn’t be Art Week without a party. We’re also hosting plenty of events including wine tastings, wellness meetups and brunches. Check out the schedule below and shout out to our sponsors, including We Are Curated, PlantShed, United Sodas of America, Ume Plum Liqueur, Layla Miami Beach, Mijenta Tequila, Plant Passenger, Coconut Cartel and more.
