Tricks of the trade

Don’t forget about those travel credits.
If you had to cancel a trip in 2020 or 2021 due to COVID-19, odds are you have unused travel credits just waiting to be redeemed. It’s like a present from past you. Unfortunately, these credits do have an expiration date – here’s how to make sure they don’t go to waste:

  • Check your emails.
To see what you have left in the bank, take a look through your old emails – odds are you’ll have received a confirmation message with info on your refunded credits.
  • Log in to your accounts.
Another way to find your unused airline credits is to log in to your travel account(s) and look under your profile – there, you should be able to find your unused eCredits.
  • Read the fine print.
Once you locate said credits, be sure to read about your travel brand’s policy to see how you can use them and find out exactly when they expire.
  • When in doubt, reach out.
If you find that your unused travel credits have somehow expired, connect with customer service from the travel brand – they can help you figure out your options.
