  • Who’s got some good NewZ. New Zealand is opening its international borders to some travelers after more than two years of COVID-19 isolation.

Spring break, but for adults.

Contrary to popular belief, you don’t need to be a rowdy college student in order to take a spring break trip. As many travelers are itching to pack their bags this spring, we gathered some of our data to see which Caribbean destinations were the most affordable from state to state. The overwhelming answer for nearly all states was San Juan, Puerto Rico*. Now is the time to plan your very own trip – head to our San Juan City Guide to get the full run-down on this affordable spring destination. Oh and ps. you won’t even need a passport.

Tips on van-life from nomadic women who live it.
Women’s History Month isn’t over yet! This week, we wanted to highlight content about women who have turned road tripping into a lifestyle. Though there are many nuances and complexities that come with van life, we chatted with six women to discuss their top tips about how to get started:

  • Save this hashtag. Follow the #VanLife hashtag on Instagram, but remember that daily life will be grittier than the picture-perfect aesthetic on the ‘gram.
  • Join a van life Facebook group. This is a great resource for learning, inspiration, encouragement and tips from like-minded people in the community.
  • Give it a test drive. Rent a van or RV and take the lifestyle for a spin. Start by parking it in your own driveway, if you’re nervous.
  • Read up on others’ experiences. Learn more from other women, like Jenny, who live nomadic lifestyles and learn more about how to transition to life on the road.
