  • Can I bring my pet or service animal on the train?

    Currently, pets are not allowed on Amtrak trains from Seattle to Vancouver. However, service animals are allowed. Amtrak considers a service animal to be animals trained to assist a disabled person with a specific task. Currently, comfort or emotional support animals do not qualify. Search and rescue and police dogs may qualify with permission from the Amtrak Police Department. To ensure you and your service animal are accommodated, contact Amtrak before your trip. Once aboard, your service animal must sit at your feet or under your seat.

  • What is my carry-on luggage allowance?

    Your Amtrak ticket includes two personal items and two carry-on bags for free. You may bring an additional two bags for about $20 each. Your personal items cannot weigh more than 25 lbs. and must be smaller than 14 x 11 x 7 inches. Your carry-ons must weigh less than 50 lbs. and be smaller than 28 x 22 x 14 inches each. There may be additional charges for overweight luggage. Your carry-ons must all have your name and address visible on a luggage tag.
