Pros:Pick up and drop off easy. I wish they would stop pushing the time share business so hard. Even during picking up vehicle at Alamo the person behind the counter was pushing it on us. I was there to pick up a vehicle not sign up for a time share!
Cons:I have been home over 48 hours and still the hold on my credit card has not been released and correct amount charged.

Cons:The rental location was listed as being located in the terminal. It wasn't. They took my family to a location off site. When we got there, we found out the low rental price quoted on Kayak would be multiplied more than ten times by Mexico's mandatory rental insurance. Then we were invited to attend a time share presentation to bring down the price. We walked out and hailed a cab. This was with ALAMO. Don't rent from them in Puerto Vallarta.

Pros:Nothing, it was a really bad experience
Cons:They did not have the car we had rented (an 8 passenger van) and tried to claim a 7-passenger van wa the same thing. Then they tried to give us a horrrible, smelly decrepit 12 passenger van without seat belts. And they wouldn't give us a discount when we had no choice but to stay with a 7 passenger van (we had eight people so one lap). Then when we returned the car they claimed there were scratches on the rear bumper and tried to make us pay more. We couldn't even see the scratches they were talking about as there were tons of scratches already all over the car. It seemed like a scam! We just left and I'm half expecting them to try and take more money from our crest card. DO NOT RENT FROM THIS PLACE!!!

Pros:The experience was a nightmare! The $600 for a week turned into $1100 since there a HUGE tax in Mexico and they add on whatever they feel like. It was incredibly cheaper to just take taxis for 10 days.
Cons:Car renting in Mexico is the absolute meaning of hidden fees.. don’t do it! Taxis even for 8 people for 10 days is cheaper

Cons:I reserved a car for about $3/day. Total cost according to Kayak would be less than $50. What wasn't disclosed was "mandatory" insurance that added $30+ per day. So the total ended up being over $350. Which made the Kayak experience very deceiving. Don't tell me it will be $50 when it ends up being over $350. Hoped that using Kayak and an American company like Alamo would insulate from a Mexican scam, but they ended up being just as deceiving.
