We liked the historical atmosphere and setting of The Crown and the authenticity of its refurbishment. The whole building has tremendous character.
Great charme, old England country style
Very comfortable bed. Peaceful room. relaxing stay.
Very cold bathroom, no radiator or heated towel rail. So-so staff. Tried to overcharge me be £100 and when this was pointed out, were not particularly apologetic or concerned.
Location, character, history, comfortable room
Poor service and badly organised breakfast
The rooms were fantastic, lots of old world charm. Very romantic!
setting of the property, and receptionist was very helpful
room service breakfast tray was dirty, full of dust in each corner.
The room was clean and spacious
service at breakfast was poor
Traditional style hotel
The staff did not have the greatest customer service skills.
The intimate bar area, the bedroom (which was one of the traditional rooms with oak beams) The fact that the staff were happy to arrange a breakfast at 0330am due to the fact that we needed to leave early.
The room was excellent.
Breakfast was a shambles, staff were unable to cope with demand and hence service was pretty appalling.
