I have stayed at this location on multiple occasions (business trips to the area) and will consider it exclusively for future stays. Don't change a thing.
Beautiful hotel, standard accomodations including breakfast. It was bad having a nice room with a window view/noise of the freeway just outside. Next time ask for a room on the opposite side away from the freeway.
Hotel room and Lobby were extremely clean and well decorated. I have stayed at numerous hotels in Bakersfield and this is one of the best. It is more affordable than the other high end chains that I have stayed at. I highly recommend it and will now stay there each time I visit Bakersfield.
This was a very nice hotel. The furnishings were plush and the room we had on the ground floor was awesome with a high ceiling. There were ceiling fans in the room that gave the room a nice feel. The bed was very comfortable. Highway 99 is right outside the window but I could just barely hear it; it was not distracting. The highway was only slightly anoying when outside at the pool but the hotel amenities outdid the highway noise.
This was my second visit to the hotel. For the price, I expect more. The cafe downstairs still does not carry soy milk, they do not provide you anything but plastic utensils, and at times the staff is not able to bring anthing up to your room because they operate with minimum staffing. While the rooms are very comfortable, clean, and cozy, the overall service experience is often frustrating. THe people seem nice, it is just simply not equiped to be helpful. Additionally, they somehow double booked me and were going to charge me a no-show night. I have stayed here a total of five nights, and next time will try a different hotel.
its a nice place to stay but the service is terrible. charge too much to send a pillow home and our room was dirty
What an enjoyable stay. I would have liked to stay longer. The lobby is large with a u-shape staircase. The room was warm, clean, and beautiful. This is a non-smoking hotel, and I mean it is non-smoking. The room had too queen size beds that were very clean and neat. It had a large flat screen TV, ceiling fans, microwave, refrigerator, a small sitting area with a love seat and a coffee table. The bathroom and bathtub was clean. It was home away from home. Surely, got my money's worth. I have allergies and very sensitive to smoke. I've stayed in hotels that have non-smoking rooms, and had to ask for another room because the room was very smoky.
Avoid Sunday nights! I was there for a funeral and had karaoke right outside my first floor window until 11:15 at night!!! It was awful. Seriously, people were 2ft from my window hanging out on the patio. The hotel offered to move us upstairs but it was already 9pm when we got that offer and it was supposed to end at 10pm. Of course, then it was extended to 11pm. Other than that, it was a very nice hotel. It was clean, spacious, and the beds were very comfortable. None of those crappy bedspreads, this had a nice down comforter and plenty of pillows. They even have a great shower with lots of shower heads. If you want to sleep in, put up your Do Not Disturb sign because the maid service starts at 8.
The hotel has an easy freeway access. The front desk staff was exceptionally helpful as we were not familiar with Bakersfield. The rooms were a pleasant surprise with a large wall mounted flat screen tv, ceiling fans, seating area, wet bar and pillowtop mattresses that were very comfortable. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
We were very impressed with the room. It was decorated nicely and very clean. The bed was amazing, so comfortable. Everything was fabulous, we would definitely stay here again if we need to go to bakersfield. The hotel staff was very helpful and pleasant. Highly Recommended!!!
