Some staff were not that friendly
Every person is very friendly and comfortable for us.
I probably like just about everything and anything at Golden Sands Resort by Shangri-La. The staff are just so courteous, friendly and accommodating, and when I mean the staff, it is at all levels; from the chambermaid to the General Manager. The complimentary use of the internet at the lobby was such a big plus plus because it helped a lot for a holiday business traveller like me who doesn't carry a laptop around!
Nothing really, other than perhaps, the night live music down at the Garden Cafe could be better off further away, such as maybe the new restaurant house by the beach. For noise intolerant residents, the night live music may not be favourable to them. As for myself, it did not bother me.
The location, breakfast, and the activities in front of the hotel were great. The hotel is located in the middle of the night market and is currently under renovation (almost completed and looks great). The pictures for the rooms in the website reflects the hotel before the renovation.
The room size was small but acceptable.
Great place, nice room, great breakfast, nice staff
We were unlucky to plan to spend 3 days there when the hotel was on renovations. We decided then to leave after only one night instead of 3. Otherwise Batu Ferringhi itself was not amazing: not much to do. One must also know that we were there in September, so it was maybe because of the low seasons. The last point is: impossible to swim in the sea because of jelly fish.
Very nice room and staff
