Car RentalThere are eight rental car companies at Logan International: Alamo, Avis, Budget, Dollar, Enterprise, Hertz, National and Thrifty. You will find courtesy telephones in terminals C and E near the baggage claim area connecting to the reservation centers for these companies. Each company also has frequent complimentary shuttles to their rental location. Public/Ground TransferThe Silver Line bus runs around all of Logan's terminals between the hours of 6am and midnight. This bus costs $2.00 and takes you to South Station, a downtown subway stop and hub for trains and buses departing Boston. There is also a bus that picks up passengers and sends them to the nearby Airport stop on the Blue Line of Boston's subway. Subway tickets also cost $2 per ride. Airport ShuttlesThe Airport Accessible Van and Logan Shuttle ferry passengers between terminals for free. Logan Express is a shuttle that goes to the residential communities of Braintree, Framingham, Peabody and Woburn about twice an hour between 6am and midnight. Travel time is about 30-45 minutes with good traffic, and fares are $11 one way or $20 round trip. The early bird pick-up from the residential communities is around 3:45am, for those who need to make 6am flights. Limousine ServicesLimousines must be reserved in advance with a local carrier such as Boston Limo, Casablanca Coach, or Cap's Auto Livery. Limousine holding areas are available at all four terminals (the one in B is located near the baggage claim for US Airways). Here, drivers will park before walking into the arrivals area to wait for passengers. Taxi ServicesBoston taxis are available at taxi stands 24 hours a day, with service to cities throughout Massachusetts and even other New England states. Within a 12-mile radius, the fare is metered.
