Pros. Overall, it was a good stay.
Cons. The big problem I had in using Kayak is the third party company sent me an email itinerary showing May 21-28 but apparently sent the hotel dates of March 21-28. I didn't have a room when I got to Cabo so had to book a room elsewhere. I was supposed to check in on Sunday and it took until Monday for the hotel to let me know I had a room. I paid for 7 nights but only got 6, and was not refunded any monies for the 7th night.
Pros. We loved the location and the scenery . Many opportunities to participate in activities of all sorts or simply relax. We also enjoyed the opportunity to utilize the sister resort next door. We have to give a shout out to Guadalupe at the grill. He seemed to be one of the few that genuinely cared and exceeded any other at the resort!!! We really missed him on his day off !
Cons. At the moment we checked in we were politely told that our package was not all inclusive. The booking website was misleading and we had to haggle and bargain to upgrade our package to an all inclusive for a mere $870 more (their discounted rate) This hotel took no ownership for the mislead advertisement. I had previously emailed the hotel to double check my reservations and accommodations with no clear response. Tips were pushed on us and sometimes not so politely requested. We spent more on tips than we would have on food. Overall only very few staff members willing to go above and beyond to make an exceptional experience that we had hoped for.
Cons. This was our third time to stay there things have really gone down hill
Pros. Housekeeping ladies were incredibly friendly.
Cons. Front desk check in host and bartenders were rude.
Pros. Good location on a swimmable beach with view of the arch. Close to downtown Cabo
Cons. The service is extremely slow. They have a bunch of customer unfriendly policies and rules. This is not a true all-inclusive resort. There is an option to go "all-inclusive" but you have to sign for the check whenever you consume food or beverage. Not everything is included in the all-inclusive (such as the kids club for example, or wifi in the rooms). There are not a ton of activities for kids compared to other comparable resorts. The rooms are old and tired. Food in the buffet is mediocre (quantity over quality). Overall, the staff didn't make us feel like they were there to please the guests, they are there because it's a job. Will not return.
Pros. location, beach amenities, hotel staff, rooms are nice
Cons. beds were uncomfortable, no free wifi, more choices for restaurants,
Cons. They overbooked the hotel and tried to split us apart from the wedding party we were member of, they transferred us to the adjacent hotel and promised us the all inclusive package as a nice gesture. Next day management felt the deal was too good and rescinded the offer in the middle of dinner. I spoke with Hedoc and Iliana in management only to have defensive combative conversations. They denied they gave us the offer even when I had paperwork and wristbands. I have had bad service before, I have had management make mistakes before but I have never seen such an inhospitable management team treat guests in this manner. Own up to your mistakes, take responsibility and make it right. I hate writing bad reviews, and being a restaurant owner understand how painful they are to read, but this weekend was so painful for my fiancé and I we needed to alert other travelers.
