The decor in the lounge
There was an empty Smirnoff bottle left in the room at the top of the head board (the head board almost went up to the ceiling but the large bottle was very visible). This Aloft was no where near as nice as the one in Tallahassee, FL.I was excited about the bar but it closed earlier than it was supposed to.
Cleanliness, bathroom was nice
Very noisy elevator, the hydraulic pump sounds were very loud any time the elevator moved.
They had a vacancy.
Dirty sheets (ink). TV would not tune in local channels. Window cracked. Knob on bathroom door very loose. We found the room dirty, and upon complaining about the TV and other things, it took an hour for staff to respond.
First room was dirty. Small curly hairs in the bathroom & some sort of nasty spots on the bed. Looked to be body fluid (yes I think it's what you're thinking). Next room was ok. Sort of run down & not maintained. Stained carpet, damage to walls....First room was dirty. Small curly hairs in the bathroom & some sort of nasty spots on the bed. Staff during the day were ok, but the night staff just hung around chatting & acted like you were a burden if you needed them. It was ok for 135 a night in charleston during the summer. The area looks nice but don't wander off far, it becomes the hood quickly. As far as hotels in this area it was ok and I would stay again. I've stayed at the holiday inn & courtyard in this area & they had all of the same issues, except the second room here was c...
I liked the décor - somewhat slick and modern looking. I loved the way the space was allocated. It was perfect for one person. The best part was there was no bath tub. I prefer just a shower. The room design was a major plus for me.
I did not like the ceilings, and some of the walls. It appeared cheap. I felt like I had to get back to the hotel early to get a decent parking space. The room was clean but just on the surface. The light on the desk was dusty -chair was dirty.Overall, the hotel stay was ok. Not sure if I would stay there again but I might.
Creative design, welcoming atmosphere, accommodating service from staff
Only downside was that due to the design of the room, the air conditioning system had difficulty cooling the bathroom area.Overall, an awesome experience. Will definitely look for more Aloft hotels to stay in for future trips.
Big shower, no bathtub.
Phone had somethng wrong and was alarming all night. Could not turn it off.Moden design.
New modern look. Great facilities etc.
Not the best Charleston location if site seeing is on your list to do's. Safe location.
The funky fresh look
I was there for a quick night but it was fine
