great location friendly staff convenient onsite parking
overpriced rooms especially for off season, weekday stay. We paid ~$200/nightly (excluding the $60 onsite parking) for a 2 queen bed room with a view of the lake on the 21st floor. The room was fairly small (not a suite set up) for the price.
Staff at door needed improvement. On greeting we had to get out of the car and ask someone to help us with our bags.
Great location! We walked everywhere. Several great restaurants and breakfast place is near by. Staffs were friendly.
Proximity to main attractions is good; walking distance
Even though I lowered the thermostat to 65 F, room temperature felt somewhere in the high 70'sF/mid 80'sF
The room and hallways were dim and gloomy. Decor in the room and hallways was also not as modern and new as I would've expected.
Addressed a few issues we had with our reservation and extending our reservation with professionalism, trust and ease.
Large hotel with multiple towers that spans a city street, a bit of a maze to get between things.
Centrally located within walking distance of most attractions, safe neighborhood, many dining options nearby
Dark decor in rooms, dim lighting, outdated TV with sporadic satellite outages, no fridge in room other than for minibar
The hotel staff were very nice! We were also able to check in early.
Not much-- however we did find a hair in the sink upon entry which was kind of gross.
Clean, modern, great location. Despite the city scene outside, it was very quiet inside.
Cost of parking. ..so we went to a nearby ramp.
Hyatt staff is second to none! Great bang for the buck, and they handle busy times as good or better than anyone in the business.
Location and beautiful view
Ice machine broke and I complained two days in a row and it was not repaired by the third day which is when I checked out. Ironically, I was in the VIP 33rd floor. They did send me a bucket of ice to my room I might add. The Wifi had poor reception when you get near the window.
$19.90 for 1 drink at the bar just plain legal theft
It was all average
No high definition TV, no free paper, highly overpriced food.
Everything was nice except a few things. I would go there again.
Walls are paper thin. Heard the couple next door. Paid for late check out, housekeeping came the 4 times with privacy sign up
The location was suburb
We had bedbugs in our room! We called facilities and they took care of it right away and gave us a new room
We stay at Hyatt's quite a bit. The staff are always friendly and helpful. Beds were very comfortable.
Our rooms were in the West Tower and the elevator noise was terrible! I felt like I was sleeping on a runway at O'Hare! The window seal in one room must have been leaking as there was water dripping from the top, and the bottom was all fogged up. The toilet quit working at some point in the night and had to be fixed the next morning. The tile grout in one shower was moldy. The other room had pine needles on the floor, and no working clock! Be aware that just about everything you touch will have a charge to it! When we left the valet threw one of our shopping bags into the trunk and broke something. We are a pretty easy group to deal with but this added up to too many negatives this time.
Bedrooms were nice and big. Bathrooms were good size. Staff was very nice.
The carpet in the hallways is awful! So worn-out and dirty- it really was shocking how neglected the carpet was.
The location was great. North end of the loop, near the Art Institute and Millennium Park, and just south of the shopping district along Michigan Ave. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and consistent with a hotel of this calibre.
The facility basically seems to be understaffed. While all the staff were friendly and helpful when you finally reached them, the guest services number always went to voicemail and they never seemed to return the calls. The first room they placed me in had water leaking at an alarming rate out of the air conditioner, and it took me three visits to the desk asking for someone to investigate it, which they never did, before they finally ended up just moving me to a different room with double beds instead of a king. Housekeeping knocked on my door at 8:25am on the last morning of my stay when I was trying to sleep in, very frustrating for a hotel that bills itself as a luxury hotel.
Not having a towel when I got out of the shower was a surprise. The hotel could definitely use an update and new carpet.
Excellent location, very close to all the viewpoints.
Parking is very expensive, no pool.
beds were comfy
no free wi fi in rooms
Staff was rude and not accommodate.
