Guests can dine in an open, airy atrium and have a wide variety of food, from steaks to farm-raised goodies. Everything comes together at the Hyatt Regency, making it the ideal home base for an exploration of all that is Chicago.

The parking is way too expensive for each night. The West Tower is under construction so there is some back and forth between sides to enter and exit the property. When I paid extra to get a Riverview instead I got about a small portion of Riverview. My mini fridge was leaking and things in the room seem very outdated.

The hotel is a short 12-minute walk from Millenium Park as well as the famous Magnificent Mile and all of the shopping stops therein. The Chicago River stretches out beneath, as does Lake Michigan, adding variety to the cityscape guests are treated to.

Staff super friendly and professional and just made the full experience one to remember. Every member of the staff that I encountered at the Regency were incredibly kind and helpful. The breakfast was spectacular. By far one of the best offered in the city.

Several guests mentioned that the views from the rooms were spectacular. Opting for a room with a balcony facing the fountain comes highly recommended.
