Size of beds, room, and bathrooms were great (we booked a 2 Queen room). Room was very quiet and the beds were comfortable. Plenty of space for our young children to run and play a bit before bed. The location is also great with plenty of restaurants in easy walking distance. Thanks to the attentive staff at check-in, I also managed to snag the last free street parking spot immediately in front of the hotel.
Age/quality of bathroom wasn't great, the little electric heater in the wall wasn't enough to make up for the cold air leaking in around the window-mounted air conditioner, and the breakfast wasn't that impressive (cereal, bagels, yogurt, and microwave sandwiches).
Good value for the money. In a great area, Staff was excellent.
Friendly attentive staff during the day. Large rooms. Great neighborhood close to public transport.
The price was very good for Chicago in the summer. Its a perfect location if you're coming for a Cubs game!
The atmosphere was nice. the architecture looks old but it makes you feel cozy. The rooms are nice. It's very clean.
During check in I was asked for a deposit of $60 which I was not informed of prior to my visit. There was no infomation on it. I did not have much money so I was left asking family to transfer money into my account. I'm only 19 and was in town for a special event. My room was paid for by family not me. So I was embarrassed and worried that I would be steamed without a room. I would suggest that you inform your guests that even after they pay for the room they need to put down $60 as well.
Location was great...Close to Lincoln Park, restaurants, conveniences. Staff was very helpful and friendly.
Rooms are dated and small. Although the building has great character, the accommodations are in need of updating.
Almost everything... Great staff, and I mean great. Nicely maintained, old, stylish hotel. Good WiFi sgnal. Nice lobby amenities. I will go back.
Saturday morning at 8AM, very low water pressure, and it took nearly twelve minutes to get hot water in the shower. Also, there were a couple of long hairs stuck to the side of the tub that didn't belong to me. The BIG problem is parking. There are a limited number of parking passes available for the lot at $22 per day, but the lot allows unlimited exits and re-entries. Parking on the street is about impossible.
Location and friendliness of staff was great. Loved the comfortable robe after a nice shower.
The room was very warm and I couldn't crack the window in the room. However, there was an air conditioner I could turn the fan on and a vent in the bathroom I could open.
The hotel did not accommodate for parking for St. Patrick's Day parade weekend. We purposely reserved a hotel room so that we would have a place to park and stay, and the hotel lot was completely full when we arrived. We spent more than an hour looking for parking which was very inconvenient and a waste of our time. I would have rated it a better value for the money if the parking had been guaranteed.
