I loved our stay. So chic with a cool, modern, vibe. My kinda place. As a city girl, I appreciated the slanted bathtub that fully covered my body. It was nice to take a bath. Being on the inside of the courtyard was perfect for light coverage and news coverage. The bed was super comfortable and the room, no small, was hip and wonderful. We stayed for New Years Eve and just walked to all the festivities. It was perfect.!
If people were loud, or had more than 5 people in a room, you could hear them through the wall clearly. You can also hear clearly outside the door. Also, the plumbing makes for great water pressure, but the downside is that you can hear loud plumbing through the walls when someone runs a bath or shower above you.
Friendly staff Comfortable beds and rooms Convenient location
Expensive wifi Expensive in-room dining
1) Walls were so thin, we could hear neighbors talking on phone or to each other. 2) The sheets/bedding were like sand paper. I am not spoiled, so believe me when I say, that for a hotel of this price, they could have at least used a better quality of bedding. 3) The design of the hotel (rooms and common areas) is "tacky modern" -- Not sure who thought this looked work? 4) In short, spend your $250 else where and get a much better experience. On a scale from 1 to 10, I would give this stay a 5.
They gave me a bigger room when they found out it was my birthday. The room is nice. The lobby is spectacular. I could have spent a day relaxing in the Living Room.
No problems really. Not much of a view.
The bed was so comfortable! The staff was very friendly and helpful. They took pity on this poor traveler who arrived at 7:30am and have me a room as early a they cold, offering to call me as soon as one was ready. I was able to check in a few hours earlier than my 4pm check in and it was very much appreciated. The bar was lovely, and I loved all the little cozy areas around the main floor to enjoy a drink. The bartender made a very good Bloody Mary and learned I liked olives and always gave me extra.
The air was not working and room was stifling hot. Water was not replenished during day and I had lAte checkout
Location near Lyric Opera, near expressway
Cold Room temp and lobby all cold. In Nov ac still on. and staff could not change or deal with it. They did try to deal with what they could, E.G. brought hot tea, sent maintenance to reset thermostat, (no affect), and adjusted price, but the glo was off the stay by that point.
The downstairs lounge is funky. Good hotel if you need this location.
The surrounding area at times can be noisy (construction/garbage trucks, etc) that kept me up. I've stayed at this property a number of times for work and some of the rooms can be really small, so be mindful to ask for a fuller size room if available.
Great room service food
Tiny room. Ridiculously small bath room cheap looking decor no view
The size of the room.
The wonderful room is like a model apartment. The concierge is friendly and helpful.
The concierge space is crowded. Not many people are on the counter.
The lobby was dark and very confusing, with no main desk. None of the services you provided were evident, I had to keep asking. The room was so small the bed really didn't fit into it. The elevator decor was eerie, as was the music taped into it.
The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The hotel was conveniently located, clean, and well decorated. The bed was extremely comfortable. I would recommend the hotel to others who wanted the convenience of downtown Chicago, but would warn them of the cost and lack of true amenities.
Due to the high cost of the room and the small size, too much unnecessary space was taken up with pricey "amenities". There was no microwave or coffee maker in the room. We had to pay for internet access. I have had more and better free amenities in hotels where the cost was 1/10th of the price per night. We were almost afraid to touch anything unless we checked with the staff as to the cost. The faux fur "throw" was just a strip of material and served absolutely no use. It was an advertizement only and took up space. The bathrobes were useless also as they were too small and obviously been washed numerous times (scratchy).
the decore was a little "edge"
Room was very spacious and comfortable.
Hotel was expensive but it did not stop there. The fridge was full of items for sale at inflated prices. There was no coffee maker or coffee etc supplied but the hotel did supply one when I made a complaint. We stopped in the hotel for three nights but the linen was not changed. I have made a complaint to the hotel manager but they came back with a Go Green policy. But I am the one paying for this
Celebrated my Birthday
They were unwilling to fix the bed situation do to me booking with a third party!!
