Stating that every amenity was a significant extra cost.
Very bad hotel, very bad
I dont like anything of them
Believe me, their customer service will never respond to you and never solves your problem. They are just irresponsible.
Very posh, clean and pleasant stay. Will stay at this place again in the future.
Being a very busy weekend during our stay, only a king bed was available instead of the double bed we requested. Reception was very nice and sent us a roll away bed without charge.
Good location, older hotel
Downtown location. Liked the Bliss toiletries. Modern touches to the room like the uplighting under the bed and illuminated art. Very cool lobby and bar.
Very small sink. Dated room. View of a back alley from our room. Small bed, no coffee maker. Small room. Way over priced for the quality.
Super small rooms
It's in the financial district downtown, the only con is location, it's very close to wills tower, millennium park, etc
Rooms are extremely small, you can barely move around the bed, the bathroom as close to no space for putting your makeup or curling iron etc. the noise level is bad, at 03:00am Sunday night early Monday morning some girl was screaming and shouting on the phone, telling her friend or family to come get her. Unacceptable this went on for at least 15 minutes, I wanted to call security on her.
Relaxing and contemporary
The ambiance of the hotel was fabulous ! Room was large and comfortable.
Clean room, with plenty of supplies
Small room, worked for a one night business stay, but wouldn't have worked for a longer stay.
We enjoyed the location
We didn't like the initial room. It smelled terrible and was tiny. The bathroom door was an inch from the toilet when it opened and there was no room to put our bags.
Beautiful hotel with a great location. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
I expected more for the price. We were upgraded when we checked in, which gave us a larger room. The bar in the front lobby was extremely expensive, had it not been so overpriced we would have spent more time there.
Everything was in working order, staff was super friendly & professional. From the valet to the concierge to the bartender, they all made us feel taken care of! They asked the reason for our stay & we said it was our friends bday. They sent up a bottle of wine & a dessert for the bday girl.
I was asked whether I wanted my receipt printed or emailed and I said emailed. I haven't received it so idk what my bill is yet :-/
I loved our stay. So chic with a cool, modern, vibe. My kinda place. As a city girl, I appreciated the slanted bathtub that fully covered my body. It was nice to take a bath. Being on the inside of the courtyard was perfect for light coverage and news coverage. The bed was super comfortable and the room, no small, was hip and wonderful. We stayed for New Years Eve and just walked to all the festivities. It was perfect.!
If people were loud, or had more than 5 people in a room, you could hear them through the wall clearly. You can also hear clearly outside the door. Also, the plumbing makes for great water pressure, but the downside is that you can hear loud plumbing through the walls when someone runs a bath or shower above you.
Friendly staff Comfortable beds and rooms Convenient location
Expensive wifi Expensive in-room dining
Location near Lyric Opera, near expressway
Cold Room temp and lobby all cold. In Nov ac still on. and staff could not change or deal with it. They did try to deal with what they could, E.G. brought hot tea, sent maintenance to reset thermostat, (no affect), and adjusted price, but the glo was off the stay by that point.
The downstairs lounge is funky. Good hotel if you need this location.
The surrounding area at times can be noisy (construction/garbage trucks, etc) that kept me up. I've stayed at this property a number of times for work and some of the rooms can be really small, so be mindful to ask for a fuller size room if available.
Great room service food
Tiny room. Ridiculously small bath room cheap looking decor no view
The size of the room.
The wonderful room is like a model apartment. The concierge is friendly and helpful.
The concierge space is crowded. Not many people are on the counter.
The lobby was dark and very confusing, with no main desk. None of the services you provided were evident, I had to keep asking. The room was so small the bed really didn't fit into it. The elevator decor was eerie, as was the music taped into it.
The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The hotel was conveniently located, clean, and well decorated. The bed was extremely comfortable. I would recommend the hotel to others who wanted the convenience of downtown Chicago, but would warn them of the cost and lack of true amenities.
Due to the high cost of the room and the small size, too much unnecessary space was taken up with pricey "amenities". There was no microwave or coffee maker in the room. We had to pay for internet access. I have had more and better free amenities in hotels where the cost was 1/10th of the price per night. We were almost afraid to touch anything unless we checked with the staff as to the cost. The faux fur "throw" was just a strip of material and served absolutely no use. It was an advertizement only and took up space. The bathrobes were useless also as they were too small and obviously been washed numerous times (scratchy).
the decore was a little "edge"
Room was very spacious and comfortable.
Hotel was expensive but it did not stop there. The fridge was full of items for sale at inflated prices. There was no coffee maker or coffee etc supplied but the hotel did supply one when I made a complaint. We stopped in the hotel for three nights but the linen was not changed. I have made a complaint to the hotel manager but they came back with a Go Green policy. But I am the one paying for this
Celebrated my Birthday
They were unwilling to fix the bed situation do to me booking with a third party!!
